Fuyang Teachers College is an ordinary college at undergraduate level, and was selected as the second phase of the national key undergraduate college construction project. The school was founded in 1958, formerly Anhui Normal University. In 2002, it was renamed Fuyang Teachers College. In 2007, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Fuyang Teachers College.
