Life education first started in America, and it was the first time that American scholar Jay Donner Walters put forward the concept and thought of life education, because its purpose is to arouse people's love for life and eliminate the threat to life, which has important practical significance. Then it was gradually popularized all over the world, forming a new educational trend of thought.

With regard to the interpretation of the connotation of life education at home and abroad, different people cut in from different angles and draw different conclusions. But facing the logical starting point of life education, the fundamental way to solve these problems is to communicate with each other, that is, life education makes people live more like people, perfect and develop people and improve their quality of life. Therefore, it is generally believed that life education is a kind of holistic education, which includes not only the care for life, but also the cultivation of people's superior survival ability and the promotion of life value. Life education is an educational practice that educators help the educated to "know, love and develop life". "Understanding life" is to let students know the origin of life and the physiological and psychological characteristics of each development stage, master the basic skills of self-protection, and correctly face life phenomena such as birth, old age, illness and death. "Love life" is to guide students to learn to care about themselves, others, nature and society and improve their quality of life. "Developing life" is to help students understand the meaning and value of life, cultivate correct values and outlook on life, and promote the realization of students' personal values.

The development trend of economic globalization and cultural diversification, and the rapid development of modern science and technology and information technology provide favorable conditions for exchanges and cooperation between different nationalities and cultures, and provide a broad platform for students to obtain information, broaden their horizons and cultivate their skills. However, the following negative factors have also affected teenagers' moral concepts and behavior habits to some extent. Hedonism, money worship and extreme individualism have a negative impact on teenagers, which leads to the vague moral concept of some students and the decline of their moral self-discipline ability. In addition, campus injuries, accidents and other factors that threaten the personal safety of young students also affect the physical and mental health of young people to a certain extent. 1. Refine textbook materials and increase life knowledge.

In the new curriculum standard experimental textbook, there are many contents that can be combined with life education. As long as teachers have this awareness, they can combine the relevant contents of mathematics teaching and compile various types of topics from the aspects of population, energy and environmental ecology. To enable students to discuss and solve problems related to forest coverage, soil erosion, urban beautification and greening, garbage removal and population by calculating, drawing statistical charts and compiling statistical tables.
