Brief introduction of the Third Institute of Aerospace:
The Third Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Group was established in 196 1. At present, it is an aviation technology research institute integrating pre-research, development, production and guarantee, with complete facilities and categories. There are 33 directly affiliated units, headquartered in Yungang, Fengtai District, Beijing.
Based on the development and production of missile weapons, the Third Hospital has gradually formed a relatively complete family of cruise missiles, serving the three armed forces, and the weapons and equipment developed and produced occupy a very important position in our military equipment system. In the military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the missile weapons and equipment developed and produced by the Third Academy of Sciences were unveiled in full dress, solemnly accepted the review by the party and the people, and enhanced the national prestige. The Third Academy has fully implemented integration of defense and civilian technologies's development strategy, deeply participated in the national economic construction, and successively undertaken major national scientific and technological projects such as manned spaceflight and lunar exploration.
