The difference between exam-oriented education and quality education
First of all, exam-oriented education has low requirements for educational resources, while real quality education (not so-called quality education without education) has high requirements for educational resources. In addition, the imbalance of educational resources in different regions of China leads to the fact that the examination is beneficial to the disadvantaged groups (poor people, towns and villages) with few educational resources, while the inspection ability is beneficial to the powerful groups (rich people, officials and residents in big cities) with rich educational resources.

The difference between college entrance examination and independent enrollment

Compared with independent enrollment, the college entrance examination is very exam-oriented. Therefore, the college entrance examination takes care of the disadvantaged groups far more than independent enrollment (only relative. The college entrance examination itself is still a vulnerable group, but it is not as weak as independent enrollment. Although from the perspective of the whole society, autonomy has improved the quality of college students, but this improvement is at the expense of the disadvantaged groups to change their destiny through education. This is a major drawback.

Disadvantages of self-enrollment

Another drawback is that the "autonomy" of independent enrollment inherently excludes supervision. Therefore, it is possible that enrollment corruption will be much more serious than the college entrance examination.
