Problem description:

Description: Characteristics of hydrogen bromide, sodium bromide, ammonia bromide, hydrogen bromide, silver bromide and tribromophenol. ...

Analysis:

For every compound containing bromine ion, bromine ion is reducible. The following descriptions are all in addition to this.

HBr is an acidic gas, NaBr is an ionic crystal with a high melting point, and NH4Br is an ionic crystal. When it is dissolved in water, it reacts with a strong base to generate ammonia, which is acidic when hydrolyzed. BaBr2 can react with sulfate to form precipitate. AgBr precipitates in water and is easily decomposed by light. Tribromophenol, without bromine ion, is acidic, insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, benzene and other organic substances.
