On Monday, the teacher took us to visit the Institute of Oceanography. Walking into the first room, I saw all kinds of specimens. There are anemones and sea gills; There are Sargassum, Spirulina reticulata, Chaetoceros and Sargassum hancei; And sea cactus like fudge. I saw my favorite peony coral there, which is distributed in the shallow sea area in the east and north of Weizhou Island, and has scientific significance and tourism appreciation value.
I walked slowly into the second room, where I saw the worm and mud worm, whose scientific names were "Starworm Naked" and "Starworm Delicious" respectively.
In the third room, I saw sea bean sprouts, Roche squid, giant tiger-spotted squid, cuttlefish, Japanese sun and moon shells, carefree steamed bread crabs and hairy bat hairy crabs.
I walked into the fourth room, which contained mangroves that students were most interested in. I listened to the commentator's aunt with great interest. From the explanation of the commentator's aunt, I learned that mangroves are home to many marine life, including birds and insects. Therefore, protecting mangroves is to protect the home of marine life. Investigation shows that mangroves are one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world and are rich in biological resources. For example, there are macrobenthos11species, birds 104 species and insects 133 species in the mangrove area of Shankou, Guangxi. There are altogether 59 species and varieties of algae/kloc-0 in mangrove areas in Guangxi, among which 4 species are new records in China. This is because mangroves transform through the food chain in the form of litter, which provides a good environment for the growth and development of marine animals. At the same time, due to the development of tidal gullies in mangrove areas, animals in deep water areas are attracted to the mangrove areas for foraging, habitat, production and reproduction. Mangroves grow in subtropical and temperate zones and are rich in bird food resources. Therefore, mangrove area is the wintering ground and migration transit point for migratory birds, and it is also the place where all kinds of seabirds feed, inhabit, produce and breed.
Although the ocean is so beautiful and charming, at present, marine living resources are facing great threats due to over-exploitation of human beings and marine pollution. The only thing we can do is to protect mangroves and protect the homes of these marine animals. From the list of marine animal protection, what we need to protect is the first-class protected animals, that is, Dugong of Manatee Burgundy family to Pinctada maxima of Pinctada family, ranking last. So from now on, let's take action to protect these creatures!
