Research Group of "Innovative Teaching of Junior Middle School Students' Composition" in No.6 Middle School

In order to explore new ways of composition teaching, effectively improve students' writing ability and emotional level, cultivate personality through writing, and make life and composition optimize and complement each other, since September 20001year, our school has taken "a preliminary study on innovative composition teaching for junior high school students" as the research topic and achieved fruitful research results. The report reads as follows:

First, the research background

1, the needs of the times

"Innovation is the soul of a nation's progress and an inexhaustible motive force for a country's prosperity and development." Innovative education and innovative teaching are the core of quality education. It is the responsibility of every teacher to cultivate students' innovative consciousness, spirit and ability, and it is also the premise of cultivating new talents of the times. Innovative writing is a practical activity to cultivate students' innovative ability and an important means to cultivate new people of the times.

The need of new curriculum standards

The new curriculum standard points out "cultivating students' creative thinking" and "encouraging creative expression", which puts forward new requirements for composition teaching. Innovative composition is an important topic for teachers and students, an important practical activity to cultivate innovative ability, and an important measure to cultivate creative thinking and expression.

The present situation of composition teaching

Composition teaching is an important way to cultivate students' comprehensive quality, and it is also the best form to cultivate students' innovative thinking and ability. However, due to the relative lag of educational concept and rigid teaching thinking, composition teaching has no basis, no rules to follow, and is blind and arbitrary. Even if the teacher speaks composition, it is also some basic knowledge and skills, which leads to the students' creative personality not being publicized, the composition effect is poor, and the language expression ability of the composition is low.

Chinese teachers in our school attach great importance to cultivating students' writing ability, but the problem of how to break through the exam-oriented composition teaching mode of "one size fits all" has been bothering us. We realize that it is imperative to break through the closed and outdated teaching concept, establish a correct view of talents and values, and act according to the laws of education and teaching. We have also made a lot of efforts to this end, but we have not yet formed a complete composition teaching system. We also see that the cultivation and research of students' innovative consciousness, innovative ideas, innovative requirements and innovative practices in the writing process meet the requirements of the times for students' comprehensive quality. Therefore, we take "a preliminary study of innovative composition teaching for junior high school students" as our research topic.

I hope to cultivate students' interest in reading and writing, improve their writing level, establish a complete composition teaching system, improve the writing teaching level of Chinese teachers in our school and improve the quality of Chinese teaching in our school.

Second, the definition of the topic

Our innovative teaching of composition is based on the accumulation of materials, centered on the cultivation of ability, and driven by composition evaluation. Through the construction of innovative materials accumulation system, students can learn innovative materials accumulation methods, through the construction of innovative ability training system, students can learn innovative expression methods, through the construction of innovative achievement evaluation system, students can learn innovative evaluation methods, encourage imagination and fantasy, and encourage creative expression, thus achieving the requirements and standards of Chinese Curriculum Standards for students in grades 7-9.

(-) Building an innovative material accumulation system

"A clever woman can't cook without rice", many students are afraid to write a composition, and often suffer from it. The ancients said, "If you don't accumulate steps, you can't become a river." To write a good composition, the accumulation of language materials and life feelings is the foundation. Only accumulation can make hair thinner. Middle school students accumulate materials mainly in the following ways:

Read and take notes.

Reading here not only refers to reading in Chinese class, but also refers to a lot of extracurricular reading. It is difficult to meet the needs of accumulating language materials only by reading in Chinese class.

First of all, we should create a lot of reading conditions for students. Each class has set up a small library (students are encouraged to donate books, which are purchased with class fees every semester), and weekly reading is arranged for 1 class. In addition, teachers encourage students to buy books or borrow books from the library or check online. The school also contacted the Zhangjiagang Youth Reading and Distribution Center to set up a stall in the school to recommend good books. The school subscribed to Selected Works of American Literature on a voluntary basis. "Selected Excellent Compositions of Middle School Students in China" solves the source of books and ensures that every student has a wealth of good books to read. When students have books to read, it is necessary to improve the efficiency of extracurricular reading, give students ways to read, and ask students to take reading notes.

Watching TV and surfing the Internet.

Compared with reading, TV and Internet can enable students to receive more and newer information more quickly and selectively. The key is that teachers and parents should be good at guiding, give full play to the positive role of TV to avoid its negative effects, and combine watching TV with reading, visiting and playing games, so that students' various accumulations can be related to each other, which is more systematic and easier to remember.

Observation diary

Writing comes from life. Countless new things happen around us every day. Unfortunately, some students turn a blind eye and turn a deaf ear. The root of their inability to write is that they are not good at observation. To help students accumulate writing materials, we must guide them to learn to observe and think, express them in the form of diaries anytime and anywhere, and be conscientious people in life.

3. Hold various activities 2 minutes before class. Two minutes before class, students will preside over the class, and idioms solitaire, tongue twisters, riddles, storytelling, brain teasers and impromptu speeches will enrich students' writing materials and improve their writing ability.

Develop diversified writing methods to give students a broad creative space.

(1) Use illustrations to train fragmentary compositions. For example, the two articles "The Emperor's New Clothes" and "The Chameleon" can enable students to observe the illustrations carefully according to the content of the text, give full play to their imagination, expand and enrich them, and restore the illustrations into compositions with rich personality characteristics.

(2) The compilation of teaching material drama. Explain the general writing of the script to the students and provide them with famous works to write according to. They can have their own content, the language can be appropriately changed according to the original text, and the actions of the characters can be appropriately exaggerated.

(3) Imitate the sentence patterns of the article. There are many antithetical sentences in this respect, mainly to let students express their thoughts and feelings with neat sentence patterns and limited words, and strive to make students form a concise, implicit and meaningful language style.

(4) Write essays, allegro, cross talk and other complicated social life, express love and hate, cultivate sentiment and cultivate a sound personality.

(C) the construction of innovative composition evaluation system

1, Chinese composition teaching under the new curriculum requires that the purpose of evaluating students' composition is not only to examine students' writing ability, but also to examine and improve students' composition learning and teachers' composition teaching, so as to improve students' composition ability more effectively, instead of overemphasizing the screening and selection functions of evaluation. Therefore, the standard of composition evaluation should also conform to the torrent of this era, combine with the reality of students, and pursue humanized evaluation.

(1) Surprise students with changes and batches. Every composition of students is the footprint of students' writing growth. Our evaluation standard should be to affirm students' writing enthusiasm and French students' writing enthusiasm in the process of correcting compositions. Once an excellent composition is found, the teacher can read aloud two or three minutes before class, which always surprises the students. In the process of reading aloud, students know that teachers attach importance to composition training and dare not relax at all. Students who write reciting compositions know that their efforts have not been in vain and are more diligent, while other students yearn for it. By correcting and commenting on their compositions, they not only aroused students' enthusiasm for writing, but also had a comprehensive understanding of caring about life, feeling the little things around them and expressing their feelings from a small place.

(2) Face-to-face evaluation and equal dialogue. Klingberg's "Teaching Dialogue Principle" points out: "In all teaching, there is dialogue in the broadest sense ... No matter which teaching method is dominant, this interactive dialogue is the essential understanding of excellent teaching." This concept also applies to composition evaluation. Every composition correction should be a sincere communication with students. It has a good influence on students' minds and emotions. We know that every student has the need to be valued by others, and so do students who write. If teachers don't pay attention to each student's writing process, most students will be uninterested in writing. Therefore, teachers regard face-to-face evaluation with students as an equal dialogue with students. First, they talk about the advantages of the composition, give students a sense of accomplishment, and then point out the shortcomings of the article one by one. Every time, it is gentle drizzle that moistens their hearts.

(3) Give full play to the collective advantages, and carry out self-reform and mutual reform. In students' compositions, we can glimpse their understanding and views on life and society. Under the influence of living environment, some students' views on society are very extreme and lack of dialectics. Some students practice writing carelessly, and some students lack innovation in writing old things. Let the students reform themselves and criticize each other. Students can look down on their own or others' compositions from a height. Before self-correction and mutual correction, we should make clear the grading standard of the composition, then evaluate it according to the standard, and then recommend or recommend excellent compositions by ourselves. The new Chinese curriculum standard puts forward that "we should revise our own composition and actively communicate with others to revise it" and "we should pay attention to guiding students to improve their writing ability in self-revision and mutual revision", putting self-revision on the first composition and taking the improvement of the second composition as a gas station with a higher starting point. Let students write faster and better, let them experience the joy of writing in the process of writing, and let them get closer to the realm of "having to pour out". The significance of self-revision and mutual evaluation lies in mobilizing students' enthusiasm and taking students' revision of articles as a necessary link to improve their writing ability.

(4) Make the comments wonderful. Psychologist Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory points out that thinking is the reflection of human brain's indirect generalization of objective things. In this sense, students' composition is not only the embodiment of writing ability, but also the concentrated embodiment of world outlook. Therefore, composition evaluation, a teacher, should not only guide students in writing methods, but more importantly, guide students in moral quality, how to be a man and so on. Maslow believes that human needs can be divided into low-level and high-level, among which respect needs and self-goal needs are the highest needs of human beings. Teachers should stand on the point of respecting and understanding students, change the image of teachers' preachers in previous comments, communicate with students in an equal and patient spirit, stimulate students' enthusiasm for writing with vivid and friendly sentences, fully mobilize students' consciousness, self-confidence and enthusiasm in writing, and make every student like writing, thus improving the writing level of all students. Discussion-style investigation and comment to enhance the authenticity of the article; Positive comments promote innovative thinking; Dialogue and comment to improve self-improvement ability; Emotional comments cultivate good qualities.

2. Improve "community", "station" and "magazine" and give full play to the advantages of extracurricular composition interest groups.

Our school's "Langwen Du" has been established for more than ten years. Based on this, we have established "Poetry Club" and "Literature Club" in each class (or grade), and carried out writing competitions, speech debates, poetry readings and other activities from time to time to build a platform for students' interest development. Poetry clubs and literary clubs regularly publish publications and students' works, setting a benchmark for students' peers and people around them, and making students feel better. Create more opportunities for more students to appear on the stage. Class publications strive to make every student have a "famous" composition and become a big stage for all students to show their talents, thus promoting the overall improvement of students' writing level. In addition, the school has also compiled an innovative platform for students' excellent compositions, which provides a broader platform for students to personalize their compositions and even develop their personalities.

Fourth, the research and implementation process

After the project plan is determined, organization and implementation are the key. Orderly operation can ensure the smooth implementation of the project, and careful organization and strict management can ensure the high-quality operation of the project. We adhere to the strict implementation of the experimental plan and scheme, define their respective goals and tasks, and require the members of the research group to actively practice, summarize in time, accumulate data, summarize, count and analyze. Members of the research group hand in an innovative writing teaching plan every month, and have one or two open classes on campus every semester, and then we discuss the gains and losses together.

Learn the theory and make clear the research direction.

Around the topic, we first organized the members of the research group to seriously study the concept of the new curriculum standard, as well as the articles on "innovative writing" and the information on teaching reform downloaded from the Internet. We unified our thinking, changed the teaching concept, improved the level of theory and research, determined the research direction, and decomposed and implemented the topic, which made each member of the research group clear their respective responsibilities and provided theoretical guidance for studying and formulating the specific research plan of the topic.

2. Cultivate students' writing ability and improve their emotional level.

Life is the source of composition, and composition is the artistic representation or rational expression of life. In the process of composition teaching, we practice the unity of knowing and doing, which not only stimulates and satisfies students' cognitive requirements, but also stimulates and satisfies students' emotional needs. The key points are:

(1) Teach students to write and be human. Educate students to love life, actively participate in various beneficial activities, guide students to observe carefully, experience carefully and think attentively, so that they can increase their knowledge, enrich their feelings and have the desire to talk. On this basis, guide them to exchange reports and practice expression.

(2) Make composition the need of students' study and life. In order to stimulate students' enthusiasm for composition, the members of the research group strive to unify composition practice with extracurricular activities, and strive to guide students to go to nature, get close to society, extend their tentacles to the vast field of life, feel the truth, goodness and beauty in life, and thus take the initiative to resort to words.

Guide students to choose appropriate words and reasonable expressions according to their own expression requirements, and cultivate students' innovative spirit.

3. Organize activities to stimulate enthusiasm.

Students' emotions, will, interests, hobbies, abilities and qualities can best be reflected, exercised and tested by holding activities. The activity not only aroused the enthusiasm of composition teachers and educatees, but also left them unforgettable memories. For example, the "composition competition" held in each grade every semester allows students to feel the joy of writing in the competition.

Develop habits and internalize quality.

The research group, together with the Chinese teachers of the whole school, put forward some specific regulations for students.

(1) It is stipulated to do two things well every day: watch TV news and News Perspective, and read two newspapers; ⑵ Three little things that must be done well every week: reading an extra-curricular book (reading in arts and sciences), writing a composition and learning to sing a song. ⑵ Three major events must be done well in each semester: one visit or hiking, one social practice or major activity, and one exercise book (individual or group).

Through these measures, we can further broaden our knowledge horizons, have inexhaustible sources of writing and even inspiration, and internalize our own quality with good habits.

5. Actively participate in new educational experimental research.

In 2003, our school actively participated in the experimental research of new education in the city. In this research activity, we actively cooperated with No.2 Middle School in the city to strive for more research results and make a breakthrough in this field. In the process of investigation, our school carried out activities in an orderly manner in a pragmatic and pragmatic manner. In the research process, we advocate that all teachers and students keep a diary together, day after day, and we still persist.

Fifth, research results.

2. Promote the optimization of composition teaching.

Teachers have learned the lesson that they only paid attention to imparting knowledge in the past and made little progress in correcting it. They tapped the potential of students' hands-on, paid attention to the organic combination of students' knowledge, skills and emotional experience, systematically put forward the idea of "attaching importance to real experience and emotional expression", cultivated students' psychological quality of "believing that their composition will be written well", and integrated "knowledge and skills", "process and method" and "emotional attitude and values" into Grade One. In the teaching of various stages and sections in the third grade, a brand-new composition teaching concept of "students are the main body of writing" has been established. The teaching method emphasizes writing true feelings, that is, (1) only sets the scope and does not put forward it, changing the present situation of false, big and empty proposition composition in the past, giving students something to say, encouraging students to find materials from life and write true feelings in a range; 2. 3. Improve students' writing quality.

By constructing an innovative material accumulation system, students' reading interest is greatly cultivated. At the beginning of the reading class, most students' reading level was still in the cartoon stage. In reading class, they always want to talk and chat. Now, reading class has become a course that students look forward to every week, and no teacher is allowed to occupy it casually. The books in the class library have become children's good friends. Every long vacation, students always go to the teacher to borrow books.

Through the construction of innovative ability training system, students' composition level has been greatly improved, and many students have won prizes in composition competitions at all levels.

By constructing an innovative composition evaluation system, students' interest in writing is greatly stimulated. Based on Langhuawen Society, the construction of "society", "station" and "journal" has been improved. Among them, the "composition train" of the first grade of junior high school is more distinctive, and students' compositions are displayed in the corridor. Sailing, a second-year junior high school publication, has been published for three issues, and Beans, a publication of Eagle Literature Society.

Sixth, the enlightenment and thinking of the research.

To a certain extent, the effect of Chinese teaching in middle schools is reflected by students' writing ability, so writing teaching must be placed in an important position in Chinese teaching. In fact, improving students' writing level is an arduous and long process. Due to the negative influence of exam-oriented teaching, teachers are often reluctant to make great efforts to comprehensively and seriously study and effectively grasp composition teaching in Chinese teaching, and focus on other "immediate" exam-oriented aspects. So, in general, students.

The reform of composition teaching must first reform the narrow concept of composition. The improvement of writing ability is a very complicated project, which goes far beyond the category of "classroom teaching". Writing is not only a matter of writing skills and ability, but more importantly, the author's ideological understanding, moral cultivation and various thinking abilities. Without high cognitive ability and moral cultivation, it is impossible to write valuable and profound articles. No keen thinking ability (including observation, analysis, synthesis, feeling, imagination, etc. ), it is impossible to write rich and vivid articles. To this end, we must undertake the task of cultivating and establishing students' correct outlook on life and values, and cultivate noble moral sentiments. Guide students to observe and feel social life with a correct attitude towards life, make comparison, analysis and research, so as to broaden their horizons and care about all aspects of social life. Get a lot of knowledge and information, study the rich real world with what you have learned, refine and deepen these materials with association and imagination, and make them handy writing materials. Secondly, we should encourage students to pay attention to life, understand society, set up correct and lofty ideals, have a clear view of right and wrong, cultivate honest and modest moral values, have a strong sense of responsibility and dedication, and cultivate a kind heart and a spirit of loving and praising life.

In short, it is an arduous project to reform composition teaching and effectively improve students' writing level. There are many aspects to be carefully studied and many things to be done in detail, and we will make unremitting efforts.
