Central South University, located in Changsha, Hunan Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a vice-ministerial system directly under the central government, ranking among the national "double-class", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 project", and selected as the leading universities in the national "201plan" and "168".
As of May 2023, the school covers an area of 3170,200 square meters with a building area of 2,295,200 square meters. There are 30 secondary colleges offering 103 undergraduate majors; Full-time students are 6 178 1 person, including 34,906 undergraduates, 24,373 graduate students, 2,362 international students and 40 preparatory students.
