In order to strengthen students' safety awareness and potential to avoid risks and ensure students' safety, all the students in our class held a class meeting with the theme of "safety education" in our classroom. The meeting was presided over by Chen Yun, secretary of the Communist Youth League.

The purpose of the class meeting is to combine the three educational themes of "safety, courtesy and discipline" with the personal safety and interests of college students, to educate students on safety, learn safety knowledge and understand the importance of safety. For the smooth progress of the class meeting, all class committees participated in the collection and arrangement of various safety knowledge, and made sufficient knowledge propaganda work in each dormitory before the meeting.

Based on the recent "Dog Cave" fire case, the meeting comprehensively understood all kinds of disaster prevention and avoidance knowledge and precautions from the aspects of property safety, earthquake safety, traffic safety, fire safety, electricity safety and flood, and analyzed the real safety accidents seen and heard. Examples involve students' personal safety and financial safety, focusing on personal safety such as traffic safety, the use of electrical appliances in dormitories, and financial safety such as mobile phones, cash, ID cards and bank cards.

Then, the class will enter the question-and-answer session of prize-winning safety knowledge, and the students will seriously think about the problems involved in the question-and-answer session and participate in it. The laughter continued at the scene, and the simple atmosphere made the students have a deeper understanding of the unsafe factors that are easy to appear at ordinary times while enjoying themselves. At the end of the meeting, the students watched a video about anti-theft knowledge in dormitory, introducing and showing thieves and various theft means and preventive measures respectively, which was an eye-opener.

This meeting not only achieved the expected purpose, but also made the theme of "paying attention to safety and cherishing life" deeply rooted in people's hearts, and also played an intentional role in promoting mutual assistance among students and class unity.

After the meeting, the monitor and the Communist Youth League branch secretary organized the class committee to inspect and eliminate the health, electricity safety and hidden dangers of each dormitory, and reported the specific situation of each dormitory to the school.

Through this class meeting, we have realized many of our own shortcomings and neglected aspects in the past, and we will further strengthen them in our future work. At the same time, we should also emphasize the following points:

Because the subway is being built at the school gate, the traffic is inconvenient, and many off-campus vehicles take shortcuts to pass through the school. Vehicles coming from other schools have added hidden dangers to the school's traffic safety. So students must be careful not to drive in the opposite direction, not to ride side by side, and not to play.

Students must pay attention to personal and property safety when traveling. Recently, many students met with thieves robbing mobile phones in the street. At the same time, at the peak of dining in the school canteens, we should also pay attention to thieves stealing property while others are busy.
