On the other hand, the Taiwan Compatriot Certificate only has the record of Taiwan Province residents entering and leaving the mainland for border inspection, but there is no record of Taiwan Province residents leaving the country from their destination. On June 18, 2005, the State Council promulgated the revised Measures for the Administration of China Citizens' Travelling to and from Taiwan Province Province, stipulating that compatriots travelling to and from the mainland are exempt from endorsement. The new measures came into effect on July 1, 2065438.
