The predecessor of Guizhou Normal University-"National Guiyang Normal College" was founded in 194 1, which was one of the only eight national normal colleges in China at that time. 1950 10 was renamed "Guiyang Normal University"; 1956 was officially handed over by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China) to the Guizhou Provincial People's Government for management; 1985 was renamed as "Guizhou Normal University", and 1996 was identified as a provincial key university by Guizhou Provincial People's Government.
