The Department of Land Resources and Tourism of Nanjing University was formally established in 2006. At present, it has national key disciplines (physical geography) and Jiangsu key disciplines (land use and planning), four doctoral programs in physical geography, tourism geography and tourism planning, land use and planning and Quaternary geology, and five master programs in land resource management, physical geography, environmental science, Quaternary geology, tourism geography and tourism planning. Teachers and their achievements have won the first Zhu Kezhen Field Work Award, National Science and Technology Progress Award, National Natural Science Award, National Excellent Textbook Award and other important awards. In the fields of environmental evolution, water resources and water environment, land and regional planning, we have maintained close scientific research and teaching cooperation with Oxford University in Britain and famous universities in the United States, Norway, Sweden and Germany.

There are 39 teachers in the whole department, mainly involved in teaching and scientific research fields such as geography, land use and management, tourism geography and tourism planning, water resources and water environment, ecology, environmental science, natural resources and land planning, Quaternary and environmental archaeology, surface processes and environmental changes. Among them, professor 1 1 person, associate professor 165438 person, winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund 1 person, 2 winners of New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of Ministry of Education, and 3 students of "333 Project" in Jiangsu Province, forming a teaching and research team with high academic qualifications, high level and high quality.

The whole department pays equal attention to basic research and applied research in scientific research. At present, it has not only undertaken 1 National Outstanding Youth Fund and 2 key projects of National Natural Science Fund, but also undertaken the National Eleventh Five-Year Plan and National Natural Science Fund projects, as well as key scientific and technological projects and related scientific research projects of Ministry of Land and Resources, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Education.

At the same time, there are more than 50 doctoral students in the department, including master students 1 10 and undergraduates 160. In addition, postgraduate courses have been offered in Jiangsu, Xinjiang, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shandong, Anhui, Hunan, Hebei and Fujian.
