Bad words, who caused the trouble?
In life, we often hear the sigh that "the words written by students are really unreadable now" and "the words written by primary school students are the same as those written by college students". After studying for many years, I can't even write the most basic words well. What's the problem? Experts hit the nail on the head: ugly words are not the fault of students, but the disaster caused by the lack of quick writing education. "The lack of sketch education is an important reason for many ugly words." Professor Zheng Xiaohua, vice president of the Art College of Renmin University of China and secretary general of the Education Committee of China Calligraphers Association, said. Zheng Xiaohua said: "I am engaged in calligraphy education in universities, and found that although there are writing classes in primary and secondary schools, the writing level of college students is still very poor. Let me analyze the reason. Pupils and middle school students teach regular script, but after entering senior two, students need to take more notes, so it is too late to use regular script. After entering the university, I can't take notes in regular script at all, and I can't be competent for learning. From primary school to middle school, students are not trained in scientific and artistic writing in educational design, and there is no running script in calligraphy in primary and secondary education. When I got to college, I couldn't remember, so I had to doodle. We don't have formal Chinese characters and fast writing level education. Internationally, both English and Japanese learn to write, and they begin to learn orthography and fast writing. " At first, the students wrote regular script in Tian Zi Ge Li. With the change of age and the increase of schoolwork, there is no corresponding development and change in writing training. In high school and college, most people's fonts began to "cross the ocean and show their magical powers." As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. Why can't the words written every day "naturally" transition to running script or other satisfactory levels? "The quick cursive script and cursive script of Chinese characters have been formed after several generations of thinking and research. How to bring a pen to be accurate and beautiful, and how to quickly write the radicals in order. But now the writing education in the classroom does not teach students these things. When it comes to calligraphy art, running script and cursive script often appear, which seems to have little to do with Chinese education. Therefore, it is difficult for students to quickly write words that are clear, easy to understand, accurate and beautiful. " Zheng Xiaohua said. Writing fast is not only a human worry, but also not good enough. During the Republic of China, Yu Youren, a great calligrapher, found Chinese characters too difficult to recognize and write. In order to "seek the convenience of making, give full play to the function of culture, save the time of the whole people and give full play to the traditional weapons of the whole nation", he absorbed the advantages of calligraphers of all ages and summed up a "standard cursive script", which is orderly, easy to know and write, and accurate. The book Standard Cursive Script was revised and published nine times before Mr. Yu Youren died. Unfortunately, due to the war and other reasons, this landmark font in the history of Chinese character writing has not been widely used in writing education, but has been respected in the field of calligraphy art. Apart from the lack of sketches, another factor of ugly characters is that people usually judge the writing level by calligraphy art, and the reference objects are mostly calligraphers' works and ancient inscriptions, so it is strange that there are more "good characters". The second National Student Standardized Chinese Character Writing Competition, jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the State Language Committee and the Central Civilization Office, ended recently, with a total of 9.38 million primary and secondary school students participating. It is called the "largest standardized Chinese character writing competition" so far. This competition is aimed at students' basic writing training, word structure and understanding of words, but due to the lack of writing standards, the evaluation of the competition can only refer to the artistic standards of calligraphy. Liu Shouan, dean of China Calligraphy Research Institute of Capital Normal University, said: "The competition is very accurate. This is a writing competition. There is a difference between writing competition and calligraphy competition, and calligraphy competition is easily confused with art competition. Writing competition is a test of quality education. For non-calligraphy majors, writing is his quality education. Professional education is an art education and an aesthetic problem. Quality education is mainly skill education, which is the task of improving the writing level of Chinese characters, emphasizing practicality, not the goal of artists and calligraphers. " The judges of the National Student Standardized Chinese Character Writing Competition come from the calligraphy and education circles. They generally believe that in education, writing and calligraphy should be distinguished, and calligraphy art training and writing skill training belonging to different categories should be distinguished. Although the objects of calligraphy and writing are the same thing, the training methods are quite different, so it is not feasible to apply the methods in calligraphy training to writing teaching. "To adapt to students' different learning stages and carry out writing education requires us to study carefully and find out a plan. If this problem is solved, millions of middle school students will master a fast writing font, which will provide great convenience for them to enter the university and even their whole life in the future, and will also promote the enthusiasm of the whole society for writing and calligraphy learning. " Zheng Xiaohua said.
