In pedagogy, the dual-track system is a modern educational system. Its educational system is divided into two tracks: one is academic education, the other is vocational education and academic education. Its development is top-down, that is, there are universities first, then preparatory schools for secondary education (grammar schools), and then preparatory schools for grammar schools with the nature of primary education.

Monorail system
Under the background of rapid economic development and the traditional culture in which the United States has no privilege, the academic track of the original dual-track system in the United States has not been fully developed, while the popular primary and secondary education system for working-class people has developed rapidly, thus forming a unique single-track school system in the United States, which consists of primary schools, middle schools and universities. It is characterized by a starting point and a series of multiple segments.
Single track system was later adopted by many countries. Its advantage is that it is conducive to the gradual popularization of education, has greater adaptability to the development of modern science and technology and modern production, and the class opposition and differences are not obvious.
