Xilingol Vocational College is not an undergraduate college, but a higher vocational college. Xilingol Vocational College was established in May 2003. It is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the people's government of the autonomous region and filed by the Ministry of Education. It consists of 9 universities in Xilin Gol League.
The college now covers an area of 2,000 mu with a building area of 443,600 square meters. At present, there are 17 teaching units, such as the Department of Medicine, the Department of Grassland Ecology and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and the Department of Mongolian Language, Culture and Art. In cooperation with Chifeng College and Inner Mongolia Normal University, eight undergraduate majors in higher vocational colleges are offered, including preschool education (Mongolian and Chinese), Mongolian medicine, nursing and sports (football).
There are 52 higher vocational majors such as nursing, thermal power plant, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, broadcasting and hosting (Mongolian) and 35 secondary vocational majors such as thermal equipment operation and maintenance of thermal power plant, rural medicine and football.
The college has successively won the honorary titles of "National Demonstration Unit of National Unity and Progress", "The Fifth Huang Yanpei Excellent School Award" and "National Demonstration College of Education Reform and Innovation". In 20 14, it was rated as "the top 50 universities for graduate employment in China"; 20 17—20 19 was awarded as "Top 50 National Higher Vocational Colleges with International Influence" for three consecutive years.
In 20 19, it was rated as "National Universities with Typical Experience in Innovation and Entrepreneurship" and "Top 50 Vocational Colleges", and won the pilot projects of 1 1+X of the Ministry of Education, such as health care for the elderly, automobile maintenance and Web front-end. It is the construction unit of "National High-quality Higher Vocational Colleges", the first batch of "Autonomous Region Demonstration Higher Vocational Colleges" and the "High-skilled Talents Base" of the Autonomous Region "Grassland Talents" project.
