In recent years, our county has made overall plans for urban and rural education resources, and promoted the comprehensive and coordinated development between urban and rural areas, between urban and rural areas, between schools, between school sections, and between public and private schools in a balanced way, and the education cause has shown a good momentum of vigorous development.
First, the standardization of compulsory education takes the lead in reaching the standard. 1995, nine-year compulsory education is popularized in our county. Since 2003, while consolidating the achievements of the Ninth Five-Year Plan, the standardization of compulsory education in the county has been strengthened. In February 2004, our county passed the acceptance of the expert group of the provincial people's government with high scores. In February 2005, our county was commended by the provincial government as one of the first eight counties (cities, districts) that reached the standard in the standardization construction of compulsory education in the province. On June 5438+ 10, 2006, the state accepted the "two basics" work in Shanxi Province. As one of the six evaluated counties in the province, our county has passed the evaluation and acceptance, and has been well received by the leaders and experts of the national education supervision group.
Second, high school education has developed steadily. The scale of ordinary senior high school education has been continuously expanded, and the quality of running schools has been steadily improved. Huairen No.1 Middle School became a prestigious school in Sanjin. In 2005, the provincial high school education work conference was held in our county. In 2007, there were 1575 students in the college entrance examination, and the enrollment rate was 29.23%. The number of online students 16 remained the first in the city, ranking among the top in the province.
Third, vocational education is ready to go. In 2005 and 2006, the county government invested180 thousand yuan to build the first vocational high school in Huairen County, covering an area of 80 mu, and enrolled more than 960 students in 2006. At the same time, people from all walks of life invested in Shanxi Private Secondary Vocational and Technical School, Beijing Juzi Huairen Vocational High School and Huairen Xinhua Vocational High School. In 2006, Shanxi Provincial Department of Education awarded our county the title of "Advanced Vocational Education County".
Fourth, the renovation of dilapidated buildings in primary and secondary schools was completed. Since 2000, the county has started the renovation project of dangerous houses. By the end of 2006, the county had invested 43137,800 yuan in the renovation of dilapidated buildings, built 48 new schools, renovated and expanded 105 schools, and built or maintained an area of 69,338 square meters. Unqualified primary and secondary schools were all eliminated, and some C-class and B-class dangerous houses were also eliminated, and they were awarded the title of "Advanced County for Reconstruction of Dangerous Houses" in the province.
Fifth, the layout adjustment of rural primary and secondary schools has achieved initial results. In order to make effective use of teachers' resources, improve the overall level of running schools in rural areas and promote the balanced development of urban and rural education, since 2005, our county has begun to adjust the layout of rural primary and secondary schools. Rural middle schools were merged from 13 to 9 junior colleges, and primary schools were merged from 162 to 143. According to the layout adjustment plan of three major towns and two small towns, in 2006 and 2007, new rural boarding primary schools 10 were built, with a student scale of 3,600. Strive to reach 35 rural boarding schools in the county by the end of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, and realize all boarding of rural high-level primary school students.
Six, the reform of compulsory education funds guarantee mechanism has been further improved. In the autumn of 2006, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance selected one county in each of the seven central provinces to carry out the reform of rural compulsory education funding guarantee mechanism. On behalf of Shanxi Province, our county participated in the pilot reform of the national compulsory education funding guarantee mechanism. According to the requirements of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education, Huairen County Financial Compulsory Education Funding Guarantee Center was established, and a set of operation and management measures was formulated, which created experience for the province to implement the new mechanism.
Seven, private education has sprung up. In recent years, private schools in our county have developed rapidly and achieved remarkable results. Social forces in the county invested more than 500 million yuan to build 24 academic education schools (some schools implement comprehensive education in senior high schools, junior high schools or junior high schools and primary schools), including 3 senior high schools, 3 vocational middle schools, junior high schools 1 1, and primary schools 15, with 40,335 students.
