How to Strengthen Middle School Students' Mental Health Education
First, the current situation of mental health education for middle school students:

1, Social Status: In today's high-speed economic development, the balance of values of the whole society focuses on material life, while the benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith that our ancestors advocated in the past have been left behind. The sense of social responsibility and collective honor only stays in books and words.

Our network and TV media are full of seductive pornographic, violent scenes and even killing games, which make many weak-willed middle school students unable to extricate themselves, neglect their studies, lose their will and even embark on the road of crime. Not long ago, Zhang Xin and Chen Chen, two junior high school graduates from Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province, broke into his teacher's house and brutally killed his teacher and his eight-year-old daughter in order to get more than 300 yuan of guns. Several years ago, Ma Jiajue killed many students in the same dormitory. Their psychological distortion, abnormal personality, extinction of human nature and indifference to life are the pain of our times, the failure of our education, the deviation from the public opinion orientation of our society and the lack of psychological education in schools, which have unshirkable responsibilities.

2. The current situation of school psychological education: Most middle schools are busy with the senior high school entrance examination and the college entrance examination, and the test scores are the baton. Various "excellent evaluation tree models" also look at scores, which is the blind spot of students' psychological education. They have documents to read at the teachers' meeting, and psychological education is given to the class teacher and political teacher, but most of our class teachers and political teachers have not undergone special study or advanced study, and they lack psychological comfort and mental health care knowledge. Although teachers are sent to the province to study psychological counseling every year, most of them are just a formality, and they have not really played a role since they came back.

3. The status quo of family psychological education: It is common for parents of many students to work to earn money, and there is a lack of communication between parents and children, so it is impossible to talk about psychological education and counseling for children. How to cultivate children's sense of responsibility, filial piety and gratitude is left to grandparents, but their knowledge structure and generation gap determine their incompetence.

4. Psychological status of students: Most of our students are only children, who have been taken care of by at least two generations and six people since childhood, and have developed hedonism and selfishness since childhood, lacking love and compassion. The spirit of hard work is poor. The ability to live independently and resist setbacks is weak. Those students who run away from home or commit suicide when encountering setbacks are good evidence.

Second, the measures and countermeasures:

The growth of students is closely related to social education, school education and family education. Only by cooperating with each other can we train students to be useful to society. As far as society is concerned, our era is great and full of vitality, and the state has introduced many innovative new policies, such as creating a safe campus, building a harmonious society, providing for the elderly, medical care and so on. We can't control and change the defects in family education, but as a part of school education, we have the responsibility and obligation to do psychological education well, and we can't mislead other people's children, and we can't have defects and regrets.

To solve the problem of students' psychological education, the principal, as the core mind, should first take psychological education as the routine work of the school and institutionalize it. Create a good campus atmosphere, publicize the modern history of China through radio, assembly and blackboard newspaper, so that students can feel how happy they are living in our time and feel proud that they are from China, thus inspiring their patriotic enthusiasm. Carry forward heroes who have made outstanding contributions to the society, the country and the people, and let students have role models and signposts on their way forward. Mr. Lu Xun once said: "A nation that forgets history is a nation without hope, and a nation without spiritual leaders is a nation without future." China has a history of 5,000 years, and there are many heroes: the quotations of Lei Feng, Dong Cunrui, Lai Ning, Jiao, Qian Xuesen and Yang Shanzhou have inspired the growth of generations of young people. We just want students to establish a correct outlook on life and values through correct guidance. The ideological position of students must be occupied by the correct ideology, not by the ideology of money, ego and violence. This is related to the question of who to train, so leaders should first get out of the strange circle of "score first" in exam-oriented education and vigorously advocate that adults are more important than success. The results of psychological education are included in the evaluation tree model, year-end evaluation and the conditions for promotion of professional titles. Conditional schools can set up special psychological counseling teachers to intervene and guide students with psychological problems, so as to put their psychology on the right track.

Class teachers and political teachers should pay attention to psychological education: class teachers and political teachers should be caring, treat students as their own children, always understand and master students' psychological dynamics, and tell the truth of being a man through theme class meetings and classes: how to honor parents, respect teachers and classmates, how to get along with others, be grateful to society and parents, correctly treat life success or failure, and cultivate students' ability to resist setbacks. The head teacher should be diligent in mouth, legs and brain, go deep into students' life, learn to be students' friends, find out students' psychological problems in time, and guide them in time if there are trends and ideas contrary to this era, so that every student can study happily and grow healthily. Students with psychological problems should adopt appropriate educational methods, put themselves in the students' shoes, listen to their voices, open their hearts and release their inner worries and unhappiness, instead of blindly accusing and criticizing students, and learn to appreciate education. Students can't be good or bad in the eyes of the class teacher, so they should teach students in accordance with their aptitude. In our own class, we should carry forward the righteousness, advocate what and oppose what, not judge heroes by scores, cultivate students' love and compassion, encourage students to help each other, take pleasure in helping others, love class groups, and give China's traditional "benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and trust" a new meaning to preach, so that our students can love the country, love others, abide by the law, and be honest and clean. They are all useful people to get them out of school and into society.

Third, the effect prospect:

As a head teacher engaged in front-line education, I have made some achievements through years of exploration and practice, and applied some psychological knowledge I have mastered to class management. In the past ten years, none of the nearly 600 students I have brought with me has psychological problems, and no one has ever violated the law after entering the society. They have made outstanding contributions in their respective posts. My students hold a reunion every year, and I am a must-see guest. Every time I watch TV or listen to the radio, I always say that the student committed suicide because of the pressure of study, and which student embarked on the road of crime because of indulging in the internet, I have unspeakable bitterness in my heart. I feel that these flowers should not wither as early as cherry blossoms. If we educators work more carefully and guide these students more responsibly, perhaps society will be more harmonious and families will be happier. Perhaps this is an idea of Tao Yuanming, but I hope we can all act to realize Tao Yuanming's unfulfilled wish.
