Pingyi Dinosaur Museum, namely Linyi Pingyi Tianyu Museum, is located in the northbound section of Darunmin at the northwest corner of the intersection of Lianhua Mountain Road and Caiyuan Road, Pingyi County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. It is an industrial project developed by Guilaizhuang Gold Mine in Pingyi, and the main project started construction on August 2, 20031. It was put into trial operation in September 2004 and officially opened in April 2005. It is the only museum in Shandong Province, which is rare in China and first-class in the world. It was approved by the Provincial Association for Science and Technology and the Provincial Department of Education as the youth popular science education base in Shandong Province, and was approved by the Provincial Working Committee, the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Communist Youth League Committee and the Provincial Department of Education as the next generation popular science education base in Shandong Province, with a total investment of 200 million yuan, covering an area of about 20,000 square meters and a construction area of about 1 10,000 square meters. In addition, the collection of exhibits has reached 200,000. It is mainly divided into three categories: paleontological fossil specimens, typical mineral specimens and modern biological specimens. It integrates popular science education, exhibition and specimen collection. The main source of the collection is social collection, and many rare treasures are unique to China, even rare in the world, such as the six-fish map, the Chinese sturgeon map and the ten thousand-fish map. The oldest one has a history of 350 million years and has very important scientific research and archaeological value.
