As the first educator of children, parents' words and deeds have a far-reaching impact on children's growth. This paper will discuss how to be a better parent from two aspects: parents setting high standards and self-reflection.

Set high standards

Parents should set an example and set a good example for their children. In daily life, we should not only ask for children's behavior, but also be strict with ourselves. Only in this way can children's outlook on life and values be subtly shaped.

examine/search one's conscience/heart

No one is born with perfect parents. Good parents grow up in constant learning, reflection and summary. Only by self-reflection can we find our own shortcomings and find the direction of improvement. When we make mistakes in words and deeds or misunderstand our children, we should bravely admit our mistakes and apologize to them.
