Li Wei's life
During the reign of the 4th King Sejong of Korea: 14 18- 1450. Former: Emperor Taizong of Korea succeeded to the throne: Emperor Wenzong of Korea, whose year number was Yongle, Hongxi, Xuande, Orthodox and Jingtai (hereinafter referred to as the year number of the Ming Dynasty), whose name was Li Jue, whose year number was Zhongningjun → Zhongning Dajun was born 1397 Li Shizi 1465438+2008/kloc. In the sixth year of Yongle (1408), he was loyal to Ningjun, and four years later he was made a great army. At that time, the Prince of Korea was Li Gan, the eldest son of Emperor Taizong, and was conferred the title in the second year of Yongle (1404). It seems that the throne has nothing to do with Li Mei. In the 16th year of Yongle (14 18), the Korean palace was changed. According to the records of the Ming Dynasty, "... for sixteen years, I played the science of filial piety, the third son, the mechanics of filial piety, and I was from China. Please be the heir and listen to the king's choice. Because of the above thanks and Chen's old age, please take care of state affairs. Guanglu ordered Han Zhen to be named Han Wang ... ". On August 8, 2008, Li Mei was abdicated by her father and ascended the throne in the Qin Zhengting Hall of Gyeongbokgung Palace. He is one of the wisest kings in the history of South Korea and even East Asia-Sejong King of the Korean Dynasty.

Sejong is famous for his mastery of Confucianism. In addition to taking Confucian values as the foundation of governing the country, he can also deal with two kinds of scholars freely. During the reign of/kloc-in the mid-5th century, he showed progressive thoughts in national management, phonetics, national character, economics, science, music, medicine and humanities research. In politics, Sejong established the Hall of Gathering Sages to promote the study of institutional tradition and political economy. It also strengthened the centralized "six Cao Zhi Wu system" and "deliberation system", and asked the prince to assist in handling common affairs. The imperfect political system in the early days of the Korean dynasty was improved during the Sejong period. Sejong period also formulated five rituals: Ji Li, Li Jia, Li Bin, military ceremony and fierce ceremony, and four rituals of scholars: crown ceremony, wedding ceremony, funeral ceremony and sacrifice ceremony. He also showed great concern about the peasant life in North Korea at that time. In order to reduce farmers' tax burden, he set up a detailed tribute law office, and formulated six-grade law, nine-grade law and negative-grade law, collecting different grades of taxes according to the grades and years of fields, and giving relief in case of floods and droughts. Sejong also ordered Zheng Zhao to compile "A Straight Talk on Farming", which contains materials collected from experienced old farmers all over the country. This is the first agricultural book in North Korea, and it has become a classic work in North Korea's agriculture. In addition, agricultural books such as Nongsang Collection, Four Seasons Compilation and China Experience were revised. Sejong also ordered the compilation of medical books to show concern for people's health. In the eighth year of Xuande (1433), 365 chapters of medical prescriptions and 85 chapters of rural medicines were completed. The latter book includes 959 disease diagnoses, 10706 prescriptions and 1477 acupuncture therapies. A book on how to collect local medicinal materials, Monthly Collection of Rural Medicinal Materials, was also published in the local language.

One of Sejong's most famous achievements is to gather famous scholars such as Zheng Linzhi, Cheng Sanwen, Shen, Pu Pengnian, Cui Heng, Lao, and so on to create Korean. The Korean alphabet consists of 1 1 vowels and 28 consonants. Simple and accurate, uneducated people can learn it in a few hours. Confucian scholars are greatly opposed, saying that the use of Han Xin will hinder the study of Confucianism. Sejong insists on promoting Korean. And in the eleventh year of orthodoxy (1446), he promulgated "Correcting People's Voice". The official written language is still Chinese, just like Latin in Europe, but the lower classes in North Korea have the means to write their own language. They wrote Ode to Dragonflies in two languages, which was founded by the Acura Dynasty, and translated the book Detailed Music (a fragment of the Buddha's life) into Korean. These two books laid the foundation for the practical application of Korean.

In terms of science and culture, Sejong ordered the trial production of rain gauges in the seventh year of the Orthodox Church (1442), and distributed the replicas to the local governors of Qin and Seoul to record the precipitation. Sejong's interest in astronomy is very extensive. With his encouragement and promotion, Seoul built an astronomical instrument, such as the armillary sphere, the elephant instrument, the counter, the standard watch, and other timing instruments, such as the pot sundial, the bead sundial, the balance sundial, the Dingnan sundial, the self-leakage and the jade leakage, and drew astronomical maps and charts of the seven planets. A timing instrument has also been installed at Huizhengqiao in Seoul for the public to check the time. In terms of calendars, we have compiled calendar books such as Seven Political Calculations in the Inner Chapter, Seven Political Calculations in the Outer Chapter, and Various Calendar Albums. Sejong also ordered people to modify the twelve records of Korean music, and created Korean music, ritual music, ritual music, and Korean music songs such as Uncle Ding, Bao Taiping, Fa Xiang and Feng, as well as tracks such as Phoenix Order, Temple Spring Day and folk music.

Militarily, North Korea invented small artillery and artillery arrows at that time, and established an artillery foundry. In terms of foreign relations, Sejong took tough measures against the Jurchen tribe in northeast Korea at that time. A large area of land in the northeast frontier was annexed by North Korea. In the ninth year of Xuande (1434), after Jin Ping-ding settled the Nuzhen nationality, six towns, namely Huining, Wencheng, Zhongcheng, Qingyuan, Qingxing and Maoshan, were established here. In the eighth year of orthodoxy (1443), Sejong established four counties of Lu Yan, Cicheng, Maochang and Yurui on the northern border, and opened three ports to Japan to facilitate trade. Sejong's land tax reform, health care policy and the creation of Korean letters all help to improve people's lives, thus helping to awaken people. Sejong made the Confucian country truly come true and created modern national consciousness in people's minds. Although he had previously confiscated the land and agricultural rights of temples and restricted Buddhism in other aspects, he later became particularly Buddhist after the death of Empress Zhao Xian. During that time, his health became worse and worse, so he was ready to give the throne to his son Li Jun (1450- 1452) like his father, but he died soon. Unfortunately, the stability and prosperity of the country he left behind were not maintained by his short-lived successor.

On February 17th, the first year of Jingtai (1450), King Sejong lost his 32-year-old seat in the permanent residence of Dajun in Seoul at the age of 54. The Ming Dynasty gave "Zhuang Xian" (Jin Yan Lin Minyue Zhuang; Good deeds can be traced to the moon), temple number: Sejong. He was first buried in Xianling, Guangzhou, and moved to Lingying Mausoleum in Chengshan, Lizhou in the fourth year of Chenghua (1468).

The front pattern of 1 10,000 won issued by South Korea is the head of King Sejong as a souvenir. Both South Korea and North Korea spoke highly of King Sejong. In Korea, there are Sejong Cultural Center and Sejong Road. South Korea's Antarctic scientific research station was also named Sejong King Station.
