Brief Introduction of Cuiwei Primary School in Zhuhai City
Cuiwei Primary School in Zhuhai, located in Cuiwei North Street, Qianshan, Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City, was originally named "Fengchi Academy", which was founded in the 22nd year of Qingganlong (1757) and has changed its name several times over the years. Turning over the records of Xiangshan County (historically under the jurisdiction of Xiangshan County), we can see such a message: in the early Qing Dynasty, "culture and education flourished, and schools flourished". At the initiative of Peng Ke, the magistrate of Xiangshan County, and under the auspices of Wan, the county established academies, and then there were nine academies. The target of education is mainly children who have received enlightenment education in private schools. After their children study in the academy, they take the county examination to obtain the qualification of students (commonly known as scholars), then study in county-level institutions and take the provincial examination to enroll candidates. Among the nine academies in Xiangshan County, there are five in Zhuhai: Cuiwei Fengchi Academy, Qianshan Fengshan Academy, Doumen Hefeng Academy, Xiazha Jinshan Academy and Sanzao Sanshan Academy. 1 Fan Mei, former principal of Cuiwei Primary School, senior primary school teacher, deputy to the Eighth People's Congress of Guangdong Province, and advanced educator in Guangdong Province. He has been awarded the honorary titles of "advanced educator", "advanced teacher", "reform activist" and "excellent teacher" by the city and district for many times.
