The Origin of Xia Yan Primary School in Hangzhou
Xia Yan Primary School in Hangzhou (formerly Pengbu No.1 Primary School in Hangzhou) is a school with a long history and profound cultural background. Its predecessor was Gaotang Township Ethnic School in Hangzhou County, which was founded in the fourth year of the Republic of China (19 15). After several changes, after the founding of New China, it was changed to Pengbu Central Primary School, with 12 primary schools under its jurisdiction. In 2004, the school was directly managed by the District Education Bureau and renamed as Pengbu No.1 Primary School in Hangzhou, with three campuses under its jurisdiction: Qiyi, Xinglong and Wubao. August 20 10, in order to build a regional high-quality education brand, the school was officially renamed as Xia Yan Primary School of Xia Yan Education Group, with 36 classes, 1400 students and 90 faculty members.

On September 20 10, the school moved into a new school building on Xintang East Road. The new school covers an area of 15652 m2, and the building area is 16842 m2.
