1. For the principle part of pedagogy, it is suggested that Modern Educational Theory (People's Education Press, edition 1996) edited by Huang Ji and supplemented by Basic Pedagogy (Education Science Press) jointly edited by two national key normal universities.

2. In the part of educational psychology, it is suggested that Feng Zhongliang's Educational Psychology (People's Education Society) and Liu Rude's Contemporary Educational Psychology (Beijing Normal University Press) should be given priority, and Wu Qinglin's Educational Psychology (People's Education Press) should be supplemented.

3. As for the history of Chinese and foreign education, it is suggested that Sun Peiqing's History of Education in China (published by East China Normal University) and Wang Tianyi's History of Foreign Education (published by Beijing Normal University Press) should be the main ones; Supplemented by Wu Shiying's A Course in the History of Foreign Education (People's Education Press) and Wang's A Concise History of Education in China (Beijing Normal University Press).

4. The part of educational research methods, mainly the Introduction to Educational Research Methods written by Pei Dina (Anhui Education Press1995); With Ye Lan's "A Preliminary Study on Methodology of Educational Research" (Shanghai Education Press) as a supplement.
