The world's first compulsory education law was born in which country?
Germany is the first country in the world to implement the compulsory education law. As early as 17 17, King Friedrich William I of Prussia promulgated the Regulations on Compulsory Education, which clearly stipulated that "all minors, regardless of gender or grade, must receive education". In Prussia, education, like military service, is regarded as a necessary obligation of citizens, and the state provides citizens with free education, and instills the idea of national unity through education to improve the quality of citizens in an all-round way. When some ministers suggested that William I consider funding for running a school, the king said categorically, "What is this money compared with my long-term income? I want to promote education and improve the quality of my whole nation! " After William I's son, Friedrich the Great, succeeded to the throne, he resolutely implemented the basic national policy of compulsory education and personally signed the world's first general compulsory education law on August 1763.
