The chemistry teaching goal of "Nine-year compulsory education junior middle school chemistry syllabus (Trial)" clearly points out: "Stimulate students' interest in learning chemistry, cultivate students' scientific attitude and learning methods, and care about nature and society." At the same time, it is clearly required in several problems that should be paid attention to in teaching: "Environmental awareness education can be carried out for students in combination with atmospheric and water pollution and its prevention and control, and the relationship between water and human beings."

According to the characteristics of chemistry subject and students' psychological characteristics, chemistry teachers can skillfully and reasonably link chemistry teaching with environmental education, take the existing teaching materials as the carrier, make full use of environmental education factors, and integrate environmental education into chemistry teaching process.

How to carry out environmental education in junior middle school chemistry teaching.

There are many methods of environmental education, and the most important one is infiltration, which is the most extensive, effective and feasible method at present and the main channel of environmental education in primary and secondary schools.

Teachers should understand the factors and combination points of environmental education in chemistry teaching, incorporate environmental education into the teaching plan, prepare lessons, give lectures and assess the content of environmental education in combination with the content of chemistry teaching.

(1) Infiltrate environmental education with chemistry teaching.

In junior high school chemistry textbooks, there are quite a lot of contents related to the environment, which directly involve air pollution, water resources protection, water pollution prevention, hydrogen energy, greenhouse effect prevention, chemical fertilizer pollution prevention and so on. In teaching, the relationship between pollution and pollution prevention should be closely linked. For example, after explaining the combustion of fuel, set a question: what is the cause of pollution? How to prevent pollution? If the pollution is caused by sulfur in coal, it can be desulfurized and then burned. If it is caused by incomplete combustion, methods can be taken to make the combustion full. ...

(2) Environmental education combined with chemical experiments.

The experiments of environmental education mostly take environmental samples as the analysis objects, such as measuring atmospheric dust, measuring pH value of rainwater, detecting some ions in water, purifying water and so on. These experiments can improve students' sensitivity and understanding of environmental problems.

In teaching, some experiments that may affect the environment should be improved. For example, in the experiment of releasing some toxic gases (such as SO2, CO, etc.). ), some measures should be taken or tail gas treatment devices should be added to reduce the emission of harmful gases. Doing so, on the one hand, reduces the pollution of toxic and harmful gases to the laboratory air, and more importantly, enhances students' awareness of environmental protection.

After the students' experiment, the experimental waste liquid and waste shall not be dumped or littered at will, but shall be poured into a waste liquid tank or placed in a designated place. Doing so not only protects the environment, but more importantly, it allows students to start from bit by bit and form a good habit of protecting the environment.

(3) Carry out environmental education in close connection with practice.

Newspapers, radio, television and other news media have a large number of environmental themes every day. Teachers should collect information related to chemistry and environment in time and combine it with daily teaching. By doing this, students can truly feel the relationship between chemistry and environment, and the environment is closely related to us.

To carry out environmental education in connection with reality, teachers can not simply preach, but can organize students to read relevant materials, conduct social surveys and hold special discussions. Students' direct participation will certainly benefit them a lot.

(4) Environmental protection should be implemented in action.

Environmental education should be carried out not only in publicity and education, but also in action. There are many problems related to chemistry and environment in daily life, such as making full use of energy, saving water and electricity, saving paper, using less disposable articles, reducing garbage pollution, preventing old battery pollution, preventing indoor air pollution, not using hair gel that destroys the ozone layer, and sorting garbage. If every middle school student can consciously start from me and start from small things, our environmental situation will be gradually improved.

(5) Carry out various activities and carry out environmental education.

Because of the comprehensiveness and practicality of environmental problems, the effective way to carry out environmental education is to carry out various activities.
