Interesting conversation in Momo, Wang Xizhi

Wang Xizhi: Wang Xizhi (303-36 1), a famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Shao Yi was born in Linyi (now Shandong). He was once a "general of the right army" and was called "Wang Youjun". Wang Xizhi is good at calligraphy. He is good at cursive script, Bafen, Feibai, Cao Zhang and running script, especially running script. His calligraphy combines the strengths of many schools, changing the simple style of Han and Wei calligraphy, creating a beautiful and convenient calligraphy style, and making outstanding achievements in calligraphy. Since the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi's calligraphy has been imitated by all previous dynasties, especially in the Tang Dynasty. Later generations called him a "book saint". Wang Xizhi's calligraphy has been highly appraised in past dynasties. Liang Wudi said: "The words in Xi are vigorous and free, just like a dragon leaping into the Tianmen and a tiger lying in the Fengge." Li Simiao commented on "After the Book": "If the breeze comes out, I will be pregnant tomorrow." Emperor Taizong admired Wang Xizhi's calligraphy the most, and wrote the biography of Wang Xizhi himself, commenting: "Looking closely at ancient and modern times and studying the essence of seal script, it can be said that Wang Xizhi is the only one?" His main works are Seventeen Posts, Huang Tingjing, Yue Yi Lun and Lanting Preface (imitation of Tang Dynasty).

Happy apprentice

Wang Xizhi showed great interest and enthusiasm in calligraphy art when he was very young, and then he began to practice calligraphy and worked hard. But three years later, he still made no progress. Wang Xizhi is puzzled and has been thinking about what this is all about. Later, he thought: Is it because there is no famous teacher to guide him and he doesn't understand the essence of getting started? If I can worship a fairy as a teacher and get his careful guidance, and he gives me a magic pen, won't I become the first calligrapher in the world? So, with this idea, Wang Xizhi quietly packed his bags and went out to seek immortality without telling his parents.

Portrait of Wang Xizhi

The outside world is novel and vast to Wang Xizhi, who has just gone out. Wang Xizhi felt the freedom without any constraints. Although I was thinking about going to worship a teacher, I didn't have a clear idea about which mountain to worship, so I walked aimlessly. Later, Wang Xizhi went to the sparsely populated mountains, because he heard that immortals lived in the deep forests. In this way, Wang Xizhi came to Yimeng Mountain. When he was walking on the mountain, he saw an old hunter. He was hunting with a bow and a sharp arrow at his waist. As soon as Wang Xizhi saw it, he thought: The old hunter has lived in the mountains for a long time, so he must know where the immortal lives, so he went forward to say hello to the old hunter, explained his thoughts, and asked the old hunter to show him the way to worship the immortal. The old hunter laughed at Wang Xizhi's words. At this time, three geese flew in the sky. The old hunter pointed to the geese and said to Wang Xizhi, "Look at the three geese flying in the sky. I'll tell you after I shoot them down." Wang Xizhi looked up and saw three small black spots on the vast blue sky, but he couldn't see what the small black spots were. He thought to himself, "It's not easy for you to see them clearly, and it's even harder to shoot them down." The doubts in his heart are rising, and he can only hear "wooshing" three times. The old hunter has shot three arrows in a row. When three arrows flew into the sky, the shadow disappeared instantly, and three geese quickly fell from the shadow. Wang Xizhi was shocked and he rushed up. Oh, my God! Three sharp arrows and branches all hit the head of the wild goose, which was really accurate. Wang Xizhi admired the old hunter and sincerely said to him, "Old man, you must be a disciple of the immortal family, right?" How else can you shoot so accurately? ! "

The old hunter smiled and shook his head and replied, "I have been hunting in the mountains since I was a child, and I have never worshipped immortals." The bow and arrow in his hand is also average, and the technology depends on bitterness and sweat. "Say that finish, he glanced at Wang Xizhi calmly, picked up the goose on the ground and walked into the mountains.

Wang Xizhi listened to the old hunter. At first he was confused, but later he woke up like a big dream. He felt so ashamed that he didn't want to find a fairy or a pen anymore. He looked at the old hunter walking in the deep mountains, bowed three times, packed his things and went home.

From then on, Wang Xizhi practiced calligraphy hard and urged himself to practice for three or nine days in winter and three days in summer. No matter what happens, he never stops. Every morning, he sits on the stone table by the pond outside the house and copies calligraphy. He often sits for a whole day and doesn't wash inkstones until sunset. Hard work pays off, study hard and read widely. In the end, Wang Xizhi became the most accomplished and famous calligrapher in the world and entered the eternal history of calligraphy art in China.

The pool is completely dark.

Pay attention to family studies in learning, and pay attention to the edification of knowledge from childhood, so as to lay a solid foundation for future accumulation. Calligraphy art also has this requirement to a great extent. Wang Xizhi was born in a calligrapher's family in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. His father Wang Kuang, uncle Wang Dao and uncle Wang Biao were all very famous calligraphers in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and they had a subtle influence on him since childhood. Xihe is smart and studious, and is deeply appreciated by Mrs. Wei Jie, a strong woman in the book world. So he has been studying books with Mrs. Wei since he was seven years old. Wang Xizhi worked very hard and was good at learning and thinking, so he made rapid progress. His handwriting is dignified and beautiful, with bones and muscles, and is often appreciated by his parents. However, Wang Xizhi, as always, practiced diligently, without arrogance or rashness. /kloc-When he was 0/2 years old, his father inherited the calligraphy of Cai Yong, a famous calligrapher in the Han Dynasty. He knows that this book has played an important role among calligraphy lovers, and it seems to be a rare treasure. Since then, Wang Xizhi has been more diligent. He often puts "calligraphy" on his desk, takes it out whenever he has time, copies it repeatedly, and never tires of reading it. Under the guidance of this book, Wang Xizhi's calligraphy has been greatly improved, showing his tolerance beyond his peers. He was also called "young calligrapher" by people at that time.

Once, inadvertently, Wang Xizhi heard from his father the story of Zhang Zhi, a calligrapher in the Han Dynasty, who studied calligraphy hard. He was deeply moved, and his admiration for Zhang Zhi was born. The learning spirit of "Zhang Zhichi's writing in the middle of the book, the water in the pool is black" left a heavy brand in his heart, which not only deeply touched him, but also greatly inspired and inspired him. He is determined to learn from Zhang Zhi. Since then, Wang Xizhi has followed the example of Zhang Zhi. He practices calligraphy by the pool in front of the door from morning till night every day. Every time he finishes writing, he washes his pen and inkstone in the pool. Day after day, year after year, never stopped. Because Wang Xizhi often washed the brush and inkstone in the pool for a long time, and dyed a pool of clear water black, the art of calligraphy also made a great leap, much better than before. Wang Xizhi's broad vision, learning from others and combining his own reality, gradually formed his own unique beauty and detached artistic style and achieved great success. Wang Xizhi's hard-working spirit left a deep impression on the world. In memory of him, people call the pool where he used to wash pens and inkstones "Mo Chi".

"Aunt Post" of Wang Jinxi

There is no convincing research on the exact address of Wang Xizhi's body in Mo Chi. According to the records of later generations, there are many places such as Huiji, Yongjia, Lushan and Qishui, among which Mo Chi in Linchuan is the most famous. Later, Ceng Gong, a litterateur in the Song Dynasty, one of the eight masters in the Tang and Song Dynasties, specially wrote The Collection of Mo Chi, praising Wang Xizhi's outstanding achievements in calligraphy art and his spiritual character of being diligent in practice. He believes that Wang Xizhi's achievements in calligraphy are not only due to genius, but also due to diligence. Finally, Ceng Gong also encouraged the post-school students to study as hard as Wang Xizhi, and achieve achievements that will shine in history and be admired by future generations.

Steal "pen"

Generally, people who have made extraordinary achievements must have diligence beyond ordinary people's talent. As an outstanding calligrapher, Wang Xizhi is no exception. Wang Xizhi is not only gifted and intelligent, but also has a profound understanding of things, and he is diligent and willing to work, especially calligraphy, so he wrote a good hand at the age of seven and got a title when he was young.

Wang Xizhi of Jin Dynasty

Huang Tingjing (Part) King Xizhi of Jin Dynasty

When Wang Xizhi 12 years old, one day, he went to play in his father's bedroom and accidentally found a book under his father's pillow. Wang Xizhi is a very curious person, so he took out a book to read. This look can be very happy, because it is a calligraphy book of predecessors. Excited, Wang Xizhi didn't care so much and forgot that he might be criticized without his father's consent, so he secretly read it. Wang Xizhi was deeply attracted when he watched it. He was immersed in the contents of the book, drawing in the air involuntarily with his hands and reciting silently in his heart. After turning it over, Wang Xizhi quietly put the book back. He is still a little afraid that his father will know. But how could his father not know what he put in his head? Of course, he found that the book under the pillow had been touched, so he asked Wang Xizhi, "Did you peek at the book under my pillow?" Wang Xizhi is a little uneasy. He didn't know how his father would react, but he nodded and admitted it. Father pondered a little, then stroked Wang Xizhi's head and said kindly to him, "You are still young, and your understanding ability is not enough. Some books are difficult to read. Don't look at it yet. It's not too late to read them when you grow up. I'll teach you then. " Wang Xizhi was very anxious and said, "Father, I can read these books. I should read them now, otherwise it will be delayed when I grow up, and it will be too late to regret. " Father listened to his words, pleasantly surprised. He didn't expect his son to have such a strong understanding ability. He was very happy for his son's cleverness and precocity. Without saying anything, he immediately took out his pen theory and gave it to Wang Xizhi to study hard.

Wang Xizhi was very happy when he got the theory of pen, so he often took it with him. Whenever he has time, he takes it out and reads it carefully, trying to understand the truth and constantly copying and learning. In less than two months, Wang Xizhi's calligraphy level has been greatly improved, and his handwriting is very different from before, even a qualitative leap, which surprised him a little. Mrs. Wei, the calligraphy teacher who introduced him, was also surprised. She sincerely admired: "The child must have read some books about calligraphy pens." Then he sighed with emotion: "No, at this rate, this child will definitely make great achievements in the future and will definitely surpass my calligraphy reputation."

It's an eye-opener

Starting point, talent, acquired efforts and vision are almost the "qualities" that everyone who has made outstanding achievements must have, and Wang Xizhi is also a typical example in this respect. As far as the starting point is concerned, Xi studied calligraphy with the famous female calligrapher Mrs. Wei when she was young, and the starting point was very high; As far as talent is concerned, he has a strong understanding ability and a keen understanding and acceptance of things, especially the art of calligraphy; And the day after tomorrow, he is also willing to work hard and take the initiative to learn. Working day and night is naturally beyond the reach of ordinary people. Coupled with Mrs. Wei's high demands and careful guidance, he has made rapid progress and is often praised and praised by everyone. Hee and herself are also very happy. At this time, Wang Xizhi's vision was not broad enough. Therefore, his calligraphy is basically confined to the framework of Mrs. Wei's calligraphy style and has not yet jumped out.

Wang Jin's Xi Zhi in the First Month Post

But this situation changed later, because Wang Xizhi's vision gradually widened. This stems from his travels to the great rivers and mountains of the motherland and his observation of the calligraphy art of his predecessors. Once, when Wang Xizhi crossed the river to visit a famous mountain in the north, he saw the inscriptions written by Li Si and Cao, and he felt that his eyes were bright. Then he contacted his own words and felt that the gap was too big compared with them. He thought that he used to be like a frog in the well, confined to a small circle, and his vision and vision were very cramped and narrow. How can this be conducive to the improvement of calligraphy skills? We can no longer confine our vision to the small circle around us. Instead, we should go out of the house, look at other people's calligraphy art and feel the elegance of our predecessors. Only in this way can your vision be broadened, lofty and conducive to the development and improvement of your skills. With this understanding, Wang Xizhi consciously travels abroad and makes friends with fellow travelers. Soon, he came to Xuchang and read the words of Zhong You and Liang Hu. I also went to Luoyang to read the Three-body Stone Sutra written by Cai Yong, and I also saw Zhang Chang's Kazuki Watanabe musician Temple Post from my brother Wang Qia's home. Wang Xizhi's travels and appreciation of the works of famous calligraphers amazed him. He deeply realized the value of the old adage "There is a mountain outside the mountain, there is a sky outside", and realized that besides Mrs. Wei and her father, there are many famous calligraphers and many excellent calligraphy works. Based on this understanding, Wang Xizhi realized that to learn calligraphy, we must broaden our horizons, observe and experience everyone's works, gather the strengths of many families, learn from others' strengths, and integrate them, thus forming our own calligraphy artistic style.

Since then, Wang Xizhi has completely broken the original narrow pattern. Today's people are integrated with the ancients, practicing in all aspects, and finally forming his own elegant and perfect calligraphy characteristics, integrating the achievements of the times and creating outstanding artistic achievements.

Everyone has his own body.

Wang Xizhi's favorite calligrapher is Zhang Zhi of Han Dynasty, especially his cursive script. He thinks that Zhang Zhi's cursive script is very imposing, with amazing brushwork and unlimited vision. So he took Zhang Zhi as the imitation object, found many of his calligraphy posts, studied hard and copied them repeatedly. Wang Xizhi's imitation and learning, trying to achieve a stroke, follow the rules, for fear of leaving face for Zhang Zhi. After studying for a year, although Wang Xizhi can write cursive script, what he writes is a complete copy of Zhang Zhi's cursive script, without any style of his own. However, Wang Xizhi didn't realize it.

One night, Wang Xizhi sat on the bed and read Zhang Zhi's post. His wife, Mrs Xi, has fallen asleep. Wang Xizhi was so absorbed in reading that he unconsciously drew his fingers on the bedding, but his fingers involuntarily moved to his wife's back. When Mrs. Xi woke up and saw Wang Xizhi's piety, she smiled and pushed his hand away and said, "Everyone has his own body. If you don't draw yourself, what do you draw on others? " "Everyone has his own body", his wife inadvertently said, but Wang Xizhi soberly thought about the meaning of calligraphy, and he meditated. ...

From then on, Wang Xizhi realized a profound truth of learning calligraphy: learning calligraphy should not only be hard, but also be diligent, have your own, and eventually form your own style. When Wang Xizhi, who realized this truth, wrote cursive script again, he no longer followed the trend as before, but mainly focused on the spiritual temperament of Zhang Zhi's cursive script. Since then, he has learned from others and paid attention to finding and enriching his own style, thus forming a distinctive artistic style that combines the beauty of the times and transcends the times, and has become a "book saint" who always respects and draws lessons from others.

Xi to Mo Chi

Wang Xizhi is very absorbed in writing and often forgets to eat and sleep. Some stories have been passed down from generation to generation.

Legend has it that once, Wang Xizhi was writing alone in his study, and his wife, Mrs. Xi, specially made a bowl of glutinous rice cake for him and sent it to the study with a dish of boiled rice sugar. Seeing that Wang Xizhi was absorbed in writing, Mrs. Xi was afraid of disturbing him, so she put the snacks on the table and advised him to eat them while they were hot. Wang Xizhi was writing on a whim and replied without looking up, "Ah, good, good." With that, Mrs. Xi took the door and went out.

After a while, Mrs. Xi went into the study to clean up the dishes, only to find that the snacks on the table were intact and Wang Xizhi was still writing his words. Mrs. Xi urged, "Eat quickly! It's all cold. " "Ah, yes, yes!" Wang Xizhi answered without looking up. Although his pen paused, his eyes were still fixed on the copybook.

Mrs. Xi walked into the study for the third time, only to find that although there were some glutinous rice cakes in the bowl, the rice candy on the plate did not move. She looked up at her husband and found that his lips were covered with black ink. She immediately understood what was going on, and forced back a smile and asked, "Is the rice candy you ate sweet?" "Sweet, sweet!" Wang Xizhi bowed his head and replied. Mrs. Xi couldn't help it at this moment and burst out laughing. Wang Xizhi was puzzled by his wife's smile and quickly looked down. He thought his wife was laughing at his poor handwriting, but Mrs. Xi pointed at his mouth and laughed even harder than before. Wang Xizhi quickly touched it with his hand, and when he saw that his hand was full of black ink, he suddenly realized that the couple were laughing happily.

Goose Huang ting Jing

Wang Xizhi loves geese very much and has deep feelings for them. He thinks that geese swim around in the water, back and forth, left and right, flexible and free, which can be used as a reference for calligraphy pens.

According to legend, an old woman in Huiji kept a big goose, which was not only white and lovely, but also beautiful. When Wang Xizhi learned about it, he invited some friends to watch it together. The old man was very happy to hear that the great calligrapher Wang Xizhi was coming to visit. But I couldn't offer delicious food to entertain the guests, so I had to kill my beloved white goose. Wang Xizhi was very moved when he learned that, but more pity and sadness. He can't eat a bite of goose. To this end, Wang Xizhi was sad for a long time and sighed as soon as he mentioned it.

It is said that a Taoist priest in Yin Shan keeps a flock of geese. These geese are very attractive because of their bright colors and different postures. Wang Xizhi heard about it and went to watch it at once. Seeing that it was Wang Xizhi, the Taoist priest was very enthusiastic and hurried out to meet him. As soon as Wang Xizhi entered the mountain gate, he was immediately attracted by the wild geese. I saw some of them foraging, some drinking water, some singing with their heads held high, and some chasing and frolicking. One of the geese, with its white feathers, crimson crown and leisurely posture, simply fascinated Wang Xizhi. Seeing this, the Taoist thought: People say that the calligrapher Wang Xizhi loves geese like a fan, and he really deserves his reputation! At this time, Wang Xizhi became more and more fond of this white goose, and could not help asking the scholar, "Laodaojia, can you sell this goose to me?" The Taoist replied, "Sorry, my goose is not for sale." Upon hearing this, Wang Xizhi sighed with disappointment. Seeing that Wang Xizhi longed for geese, the Taoist priest added, "I heard that Mr. Wang's calligraphy is very famous. If Mr. Wang is willing to write a volume of Huang Tingjing for me, I will give you all these geese as a thank you. " Wang Xizhi was filled with joy and agreed. The Taoist priest asked people to take out the stationery from the study and put it on the stone table. Wang Xizhi rolled up his double sleeves, dipped his pen in ink, paid a little attention to it, and wrote it without delay. He finished Huang Tingjing in one breath, meticulous and word-for-word, and the Taoist priest was dumbfounded. After writing, Wang Xizhi put down his pen and rushed home with the geese happily. This "business" can be described as happy, because the old Taoist likes calligraphy very much, especially Wang Xizhi's small letters. He always wanted to get a roll of his own small letters as a model for learning, and this time he finally got it. Wang Xizhi also got a large flock of white geese.

Jishan topic fan

Wang Xizhi's integrity and stubborn personality, with no room for sand in his eyes, have had a certain impact on his official career.

Wang Xizhi was as famous as Wang Shu when he was a teenager, but he looked down on Wang Shu. Later, Wang Xizhi became a general of the right army, and Wang Shu was promoted from general to Yangzhou secretariat, ranking above Wang Xizhi. Wang Shu used his power to criticize the internal affairs of the meeting under Wang Xizhi everywhere. Wang Xizhi was filled with indignation, but unable to resist strongly, he simply said that he was ill and resigned. After being approved, he lived at the foot of Ji Mountain, wrote poems and books every day, carefree and far away from officialdom.

This afternoon, when Wang Xizhi was walking at the foot of the mountain, he met an old woman selling fans. The old woman has a sad face and heavy steps. Wang Xizhi was very surprised. He hurried over and asked with concern, "Old man, what makes you so anxious?" The old man feebly pointed to the hexagonal bamboo fan in the bamboo basket and sighed, "Alas! Life is hard! How can my family live if these fans don't sell? " The old man's words aroused Wang Xizhi's deep sympathy, so he advised the old man not to be sad and said that there would be a way. As he spoke, he asked the old man to take out all the bamboo fans in the basket and went to the neighborhood to find pen and ink himself. Then I began to write an inscription on the bamboo fan. Seeing this, the old man was puzzled and said, "Sir, I can't sell my bamboo fan. If you paint with ink again, I'm afraid no one will buy it! " Seeing that the old man didn't understand, Wang Xizhi patiently explained, "Don't worry, old man! As long as you say that the inscription on this fan was written by Wang Youjun, someone will definitely buy it. "

After Wang Xizhi finished writing, the old man put away his puzzled fans, said goodbye to him and walked in the street. When she met someone, she said, "Who wants to buy this fan with the inscription of Wang Youjun?" Soon a large crowd gathered around. Everyone picked up bamboo fans, praised Wang Xizhi's calligraphy, and paid more and more, and the bid was getting higher and higher. In a short time, all the bamboo fans in the basket were bought, and some people sighed if they didn't buy them! With the money to sell fans, the old man went to the rice shop to buy rice and went home happily.

It's not surprising.

Stories that can be passed down orally are often lively and interesting. Legend has it that once, Wang Xizhi went out and passed Fenyang and lived in an inn. Wang Xizhi was tired and hungry because he was in a hurry. As soon as you enter the store, urge the store to cook quickly so that you can have an early rest.

The shopkeeper is an old lady in her fifties. She didn't seem to hear what Wang Xizhi said. She's not worried at all. She just unhurriedly put the teapot on the stove and turned and walked away. Wang Xizhi thought she didn't hear her, so she urged her again. The shopkeeper replied, "I see. I'll do it right away." Don't worry about waiting for a while. " Wang Xizhi felt strange, but it was inconvenient to ask again. He had to wait patiently for the store to cook.

After a while, the water in the pot boiled and the shopkeeper came over. She went to the stove, with dough in one hand and a dough knife in the other, and then began to shave. I saw the knife face fall, and the cut pieces were impartial, just flying into the spout one by one. When Wang Xizhi saw God, he couldn't help but stretch out his thumb and sigh: "Good craftsmanship, good craftsmanship!" But the shopkeeper said, "it's nothing." I have cut it many times, but I am very skilled. It's just the writing of Rainbow Xizhi, nothing strange! " Wang Xizhi nodded and said yes, but he couldn't help feeling happy. He himself has become a casual topic.

On Music and Yi (Pian) Wang Xizhi in Jin Dynasty

perspicacious

Wang Xizhi pays great attention to the use of wrist force in his writing, so as to penetrate the back of the paper and go straight to the theme. His calligraphy is vigorous and charming, vigorous and beautiful, revealing an implicit beauty of strength.

According to legend, one day, Wang Xizhi visited a student's house. The students were very happy to see the teacher coming, so they hurried around and held a family dinner for the teacher. Wang Xizhi was very moved and wanted to leave a few words for the students as a thank you. He went into the students' study and saw a new square table. The wooden table has not been painted yet, and the desktop is bright and flat, as white as paper, which is very popular. There are pens and ink on the table. Wang Xizhi suddenly picked up a book, picked up a pen, dipped it in ink, scribbled on the desktop, and wrote half regular script and half cursive script. After writing, I put down my pen and went home.

When the student sent the teacher home, he saw his father asking the carpenter to plane the words written by Wang Xizhi on the table. He was in a hurry then. He immediately ran into the study and grabbed the plane from the carpenter. He said to his father, "I studied calligraphy with my teacher for several years, and he easily refused to write for me." Today, the teacher was happy and left me a few words. What a precious Mo Bao! I can use it as a study in the pool in the future. How can you let the carpenter plane it off? " With that, he walked to the table. I saw that the words on the table were scratched by a carpenter, but the strokes were still very clear.

Later, "straight to the point" became an idiom to describe the profound and thorough analysis of problems.

Calligraphy dowry

Legends are not all interesting, but also regrettable. The following story is an example.

This day is a big day for Wang Xizhi to marry his daughter. As soon as the woman's sedan chair was carried to the door of the man's house, her mother-in-law came out happily to meet her. But when she saw that the woman had only brought a sedan chair, the smile on her face disappeared at once. Then, her eyes fixed on the car door. When the curtain of the sedan chair was lifted, the new wife got off the sedan chair, but she didn't bring anything, and there was no one in the sedan chair. However, the new daughter-in-law got off the sedan chair with a big roll of paper in her arms. She walked up to her mother-in-law, respectfully handed the roll paper in her hand and said, "Mother-in-law, this is my father's dowry." My mother-in-law didn't listen, but when she heard this, her eyes were almost in and out of Mars. She thinks that Wang Xizhi is a celebrity and his family must be very rich. This time, she married her daughter with a lot of expensive dowry. Unexpectedly, I only brought a large roll of "shredded paper". Without looking, she picked up the paper roll and walked to the back room.

The King of Jin's De Iron Stone

When it is time to pay homage, the bride and groom will worship the heavens and the earth and bow down to their in-laws. But my father-in-law was the only one in the lobby, but my mother-in-law was nowhere to be seen and no one came. The crowd was so anxious that they all started shouting. My father-in-law was in a hurry and had to find it himself. After three searches, I finally found my wife in the back room. However, I saw the room filled with smoke and dust, and my wife was kneeling in front of the stove to burn paper. The old man quickly asked, "What are you still burning here?" His wife replied angrily, "It was the famous Wang Xizhi who married his daughter!" " After hearing this, the old man quickly picked up the remaining half. At first glance, it turned out to be Mo Bao of Wang Xizhi! He was so angry that he said to his wife, "You are crazy, how can you burn the child!" "What baby, it's all a pile of shredded paper!" His wife said, grabbed half a piece of paper from the old man's hand and threw it into the fire. The old man rushed forward and tried to snatch it from the fire, but it was too late, and the half piece of paper had all burned to ashes. The old man shook his head and couldn't say a word.

Eighteen cylinders of water

In addition to his love for calligraphy, Wang Xizhi often educates his children to learn calligraphy, so as to inherit the fine tradition of family education. Under his patient guidance and careful cultivation, five of his seven sons like calligraphy and have made achievements, among which the seventh son, Wang Xianzhi, is the most outstanding.

Wang Xizhi is very strict with his children's learning of calligraphy. He educates them through self-presentation and often tells them about his hard work in learning calligraphy, thus achieving encouraging results. Among his seven sons, Wang Xianzhi, the youngest, is the cleverest and studious, and Wang Xizhi likes him best and pays more attention to his study. Wang Xianzhi studied calligraphy with his father. At first, he worked hard and finished the exercises assigned by his father on time every day. But learning to learn, over time, his initial enthusiasm and enthusiasm faded, and his wrist often hurts when practicing calligraphy. Although he has learned the methods taught by his father, he doesn't seem to have made much progress. He thought, when can I become a calligrapher if I continue to learn like this?

One day, Wang Xizhi was writing in his study when Wang Xianzhi pushed the door and came in. As soon as he entered the door, he couldn't wait to ask, "father, I have studied calligraphy for so long, but I still haven't made any progress." When can I become a calligrapher? " Father must know the secret of learning calligraphy, so please tell me earlier! "Wang Xizhi was surprised and happy after listening to his son's words: surprisingly, his son didn't want to suffer hardships and wanted to take shortcuts; Happily, my son wants to learn and pursue. He thought for a moment, then smiled and said to Wang Xianzhi, "Are you looking for the secret of learning calligraphy? Let me tell you something. In eighteen water tanks at home. As long as you finish writing these eighteen cylinders of water, the secret will be found naturally. Wang Xianzhi was very happy and did as his father told him.

From then on, Wang Xianzhi practiced calligraphy with the water in the water tank, day after day, year after year. When he used up all the water in the 18 tank at home, the answer was found-he developed a beautiful, graceful and elegant character and became a famous calligrapher.

From Wang Xianzhi's successful deeds, we can easily see that the secret that Wang Xizhi told his son was hard work and perseverance.

A little work

Wang Xizhi has a great name, and many people learn from him. He tried his best to * * * them, but some of them were too playful and were "kicked out of the house". The following is one of them.

In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was a widow whose husband died very early, leaving her an only son aged 10. Naturally, the widow regarded her only son as the apple of her eye, so she saved money for his education. The widow heard that Wang Xizhi's calligraphy was very famous. In order to make her son become a talent as soon as possible, she interceded with acquaintances and asked her son to learn calligraphy from Wang Xizhi.

Three months have passed. One day, the widow's son came home with his own handwriting to show his mother. He thought: I studied calligraphy with Wang Xizhi for three months and wrote so many words, which will definitely be praised by my mother. So as soon as he entered the room, he shouted "Niang", couldn't wait to show his words to his mother, and smiled and waited for her praise. Who knows, the mother frowned and sighed: "My son studied in March, only a little like the West."

What's going on here? It turns out that the widow's son is too spoiled to learn calligraphy. Other students are trying to practice calligraphy, but he only cares about fun. Wang Xizhi guided and persuaded many times, but he just wouldn't listen. No way, three months later, Wang Xizhi sent him home.

What about "a bit like an evening"? It turns out that one day, the students finished their homework and gave it to Wang Xizhi for correction. A word was missing, so Wang Xizhi added it conveniently. This alone is extraordinary, and it was recognized by the widow at once. Yes, this is enough to show Wang Xizhi's skill.
