Kunming Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a public higher vocational college with distinctive school-running characteristics sponsored by Kunming Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., a state-owned super-large enterprise. With a history of 55 years of running vocational education, adhering to the school motto of "applying what you have learned and being highly respected", it has been formed.
The characteristic school of "school-enterprise integration, casting steel and talents" is located in Anning City, the core area of new industrial district in central Yunnan, only 25 kilometers away from Kunming City, with convenient transportation and beautiful living environment.
The school offers 65 12 majors, including energy, power and materials, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, finance and trade, covering two disciplines: engineering and management. Seven majors in the school were approved by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education for the record and were rated as provincial high-level backbone majors.
