All subjects in the national curriculum of compulsory education use the textbooks in the Catalogue of Teaching Books for the National Curriculum of Compulsory Education in 2020 by the Ministry of Education. Morality and rule of law, Chinese and history all use textbooks compiled by the state.

The new textbooks revised according to the national curriculum standard (20 17 version) are used in the first, second, third and fourth grades of science in primary schools, and the original textbooks are still used in the fifth and sixth grades, and other versions are not allowed to be changed.
