Main responsibilities:
(a) to undertake the county's basic education, vocational education, adult education, private education, special education and preschool education. Formulate standards, management methods and teaching requirements of various schools, rationally allocate educational resources, standardize school-running behavior, promote the balanced development of all kinds of education, and guide the education work of townships and relevant departments.
(two) to organize the implementation of nine-year compulsory education, and to be responsible for the education reform at all levels and below and the education and teaching work in primary and secondary schools; Responsible for eliminating illiteracy among young people.
(three) to participate in the formulation of policies and management measures to raise education and sports funds, education and sports funds, education and sports infrastructure investment, overall management of education and sports funds in this department, and supervision of the use of education and sports funds in the county; To undertake the management of financial aid for students from poor families; Guide the logistics management of primary and secondary schools in the county.
(four) to formulate opinions on the establishment, renaming, cancellation and adjustment of high schools, vocational schools, junior high schools, primary schools and kindergartens in the county, and coordinate and guide social forces to run schools.
(five) planning and organizing the reform of the county's education and sports system, and guiding the comprehensive reform of urban and rural education in the county.
(VI) To assume the responsibility of the county's teachers' management, implement the national, provincial and municipal policies on the evaluation of teachers' qualifications and professional titles, coordinate the construction of the county's school teachers and managers, and guide the reform of the personnel system of the education system and the construction of talent teams.
