Some parents and teachers teach their children to give up their seats and share food and toys, but they are selfish; Teach children to be honest, but children often lie; Educate children to be good people, but they have done many bad things.
A mother beat her child black and blue because she lied, but she never beat herself when she lied. It can be seen that her education is hypocritical, coming from the desire for control, rather than real justice and kindness. If traditional virtues are just rules set by adults for children, then children can certainly abandon them when they grow up.
The definition of "good man" by ordinary people is actually: don't be too bad, for fear of being hated, retaliated and punished by law; Don't be too good, lest you suffer. So "being a good person" is just for self-protection.
Some people are kind to others everywhere, but they are labeled as "sadists" because they don't know how to refuse, are kidnapped by morality, are afraid of being disgusted and are afraid of being separated from the masses. Some people like doing good deeds too much and hate sin too much. In fact, they want to set up a plaque for themselves, regain their confidence and change their reputation. Their motives are impure. It can be seen that when people educate traditional virtues, it is easy to mix selfishness and hypocrisy.
Therefore, selflessness, kindness and kindness are not for appreciation or gratitude, but for self-achievement. Tao Te Ching said, "My husband is only willing to fight, so he won't go." What a person gets will pass, but the love he gives will never be lost and will always be valuable, because those loves are himself.
Kindness liberates people from the bondage of sensuality and animality, wakes up spiritually and lives out real value. God will always cherish good people and let their spirituality transcend death and be reborn. Therefore, we need spiritual education, not just regular education.
