2. The school was formerly the Broadcasting School of the Central Military Commission, 193 1 was born in Ruijin, Jiangxi. It has experienced such historical periods as Radio School of the Central Military Commission, Telecommunication Engineering College of North China Military Region, Engineering School of China People's Revolutionary Military Commission and Communication Engineering College of China People's Liberation Army. 1958 moved to Xi 'an. 1966, transformed into a local organizational system and renamed Northwest Institute of Telecommunications Engineering; 1988 changed its name to xidian university. The school has been subordinate to the Central Military Commission, the National Defense Science, Technology and Industry Committee, the Sixth Machinery Department, the Fourth Machinery Department, the Ministry of Electronics Industry, the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics, and the Ministry of Information Industry, and was placed under the management of the Ministry of Education in 2000.
