What does the Ministry of Education do?
The Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China) is a subordinate unit of the State Council, which is in charge of basic education, higher education and national language and writing work in Chinese mainland. Mainly responsible for coordinating the national education plan, reviewing teaching materials, allocating education funds, and being responsible for teachers' work.
