Supply-side structural reform and the enlightenment of vocational education
I think education fairness is mainly aimed at individuals, and education efficiency is aimed at the country and society. The contradiction between "fairness" and "efficiency" reflects the contradiction of development to people and social organizations to a certain extent. In the field of vocational education, due to the different employment prospects of different majors, there will be structural contradictions between personal education needs and social supply. For example, some majors in agriculture and forestry are difficult to recruit students, while those in information and manufacturing are relatively better. Education equity here reflects the equality of social classes, and vocational education is closely related to social economy. The fundamental thing to improve the efficiency of education is that the educational structure adapts to the structure of class and economy, so the contradiction between fairness and efficiency of vocational education is actually the epitome of the contradiction between social production and distribution.

In addition, due to the relatively backward development of vocational education in China, the problems of educational fairness and efficiency are not obvious. If we want to study this aspect, we'd better refer to some countries with more developed vocational education.
