In April 2000, TVU Online Distance Education Technology Co., Ltd. ("TVU Online" for short) was jointly invested and established by TCL Group, dedicated to providing practical support and help for learners with its advanced educational technology and learning concept. On February 30th, 2000 1,1,the project of "pilot construction of off-campus teaching support service system of modern distance education" was approved, and the market mechanism was adopted to explore the operation mode, operation mechanism and management mode of public service system of distance education in China.
On June 5438+ 10, 2002, with the approval, RTVU jointly established the Distance Open Education Center on the Internet.
From June, 5438 to February, 2002, the project of "Pilot Project of Public Service System Construction of Distance Education in Central Radio and TV University" was officially launched, and the Open Distance Education Center (hereinafter referred to as "Open Education") was responsible for the construction of public service system of modern distance education in Central Radio and TV University. The public service system of CCTV consists of distance open education center, open learning center and open management center. As a subsidiary of China Central Radio and TV University, the Distance Open Education Center is responsible for the construction, operation and management of the whole system. Through the whole service system, it provides nationwide off-campus support services such as enrollment organization, teaching and educational administration, student affairs, examination organization, as well as services such as resource transfer and platform construction. According to the development and management needs of the public service system, some provincial TV universities have set up open management centers to assist the distance open education centers to manage, inspect and supervise the open learning centers in their own regions. Open learning centers are mainly located in TV universities at all levels and distributed all over the country, providing learning support services for students participating in distance education according to unified standards. ?
Since its establishment, the public service system of China Central Radio and TV University has made great progress and has been widely recognized by the distance education industry and relevant state departments. It has successively undertaken the teaching reform project of "Construction and Demonstration of Digital Learning Port and Lifelong Learning Society", the project of "Construction of Digital Learning Demonstration Center", the national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" science and technology support project, the "Digital Education Public Service Demonstration Project", the "Mobile Learning Terminal Supporting IPV6 and Large-scale Application" project, and the virtual experiment of the national science and technology support plan.
The distance open education center has been entrusted by more than 30 universities and more than 400 training institutions across the country. Through the establishment of more than 1800 distance open education learning centers and more than 400 distance open education training centers throughout the country, it provides academic education and vocational education support services for more than 400 majors in 9 categories, including junior high school, senior high school undergraduate, junior college undergraduate and second undergraduate.
