Shanghai Education Examinations Institute was established in 1995, which is mainly responsible for the enrollment of all kinds of education examinations at all levels after the compulsory education stage in the city. Its main responsibilities are: to implement the principles, policies and regulations of the Party and the state on enrollment of educational examinations, to carry out scientific research and development of educational examinations, to deepen the reform of educational examination system, to organize the implementation of the enrollment plan of educational examinations, to promote cooperation and exchanges with overseas examination institutions, and to develop multi-level and multi-standard examination items.

At present, 50 kinds of examinations are organized every year, and the number of participants is nearly 265,438+10,000. Guided by the policy of "deepening reform, accelerating development and maintaining stability", Shanghai Education Examinations Institute has made useful explorations in expanding the autonomy of enrollment in colleges and universities, promoting the comprehensive evaluation of senior high school entrance examination and diversified enrollment, and promoting the "Shanghai model" of higher education self-study examination management. At the beginning of 2006, in order to improve the scientific research ability and academic level of Shanghai Education Examinations Institute, the Institute of Entrance Examination was established to actively carry out theoretical and applied research on entrance examination.
