Pu 'er College is located in Pu 'er City, the hub city of Man Kun International Corridor, on the southwest border of the motherland. Pu 'er College, formerly known as Simao Teachers College, was founded in 1977 and officially enrolled students in June 1978. It is one of the first four normal colleges established in Yunnan Province. In April, 1998, Simao Branch of Yunnan Radio and TV University was incorporated. In September of the same year, the school management system was adjusted to "co-construction and co-management of provinces and regions, focusing on provinces". On March 29th, 20 12, Pu 'er College was established on the basis of Simao Teachers College with the consent of the Ministry of Education. From 2065438 to August 2004, Pu 'er College was approved as the first batch of pilot universities in Yunnan Province to be transformed into applied technology universities.
