Medical education alliance:

The Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance is an international medical education alliance organized by China Medical University and initiated by 15 medical education institutions in China, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and the Philippines.

20 18 On May 26th and 27th, the inaugural meeting of the Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance was held in China Medical University. China Medical University was elected as the governing unit of the Alliance.

At the launching ceremony, 49 medical education institutions from 15 countries signed a cooperation framework agreement and jointly launched the Shenyang Declaration.

Main responsibilities:

Based on the principles of voluntariness, equality, cooperation and development, the alliance will establish long-term mutually beneficial cooperative relations among its members, fully share the resources, knowledge and experience of its member units, and cooperate in short-term and long-term medical and health personnel training, discipline construction, scientific and technological innovation and social services in an interdisciplinary way.

At the same time, members of the alliance are encouraged to establish long-term strategic cooperative relations, improve the quality and reputation of education, training, scientific research and social services of all alliance members, and realize the sustainable development of the alliance. Through a series of activities of the alliance, the members of the alliance will be promoted to actively cooperate, explore, jointly solve new problems and meet new needs in the field of global medical and health education.

"Shenyang Declaration" puts forward: advocate harmonious coexistence, pursue a better life, advocate education-oriented training of future talents, advocate saving lives, advocate noble medical ethics, and advocate diversified cooperation and win-win in humanities exchanges. According to the Shenyang Declaration issued by the alliance, in the next three years, members of the alliance will carry out cooperation projects in the medical and health fields, and cooperate in personnel training, discipline construction, scientific and technological innovation and social services in the medical and health fields to provide support for the development of medical and health undertakings in countries along the route.
