Problems existing in periodical classification;
1. There are too few periodicals that can participate in periodical grading and appraisal, and the coverage is too narrow. There are tens of thousands of periodicals in China, including nearly 6,000 academic periodicals, ranging from as few as 200 (100 social science periodical awards and national periodical awards) to as many as 1000 periodicals ("periodical phalanx" project).
According to the expectation theory put forward by American psychologist frum, the size of motivation depends on the product of the expected value (valence) of individual behavior and the probability that individuals think they will achieve their goals. The formulation of any management measures should set appropriate goals, which will give people expectations and generate psychological motivation. Therefore, the state should expand the coverage of identification.
2. It is inappropriate to confuse academic journals with consumer journals, which have been confused in several national evaluations.
3. The proportion of "consumer mass journals" far exceeds that of real academic journals.
The winning rate of real social science academic journals only accounts for 1.5% of all social science academic journals, while "consumer mass journals" account for 12%, almost 10 times.
4. The proportion of natural science is much larger than that of social science journals.
5. The grading method of "core journals" also has great defects.
