Beijing xingxingyu
Xingyu is the first private educational institution to provide services for autistic children and their families. At that time, the field of autism special education in China was still blank. 1993 when Chineydy was founded, only three authoritative doctors in China had diagnosed autism. In the field of education, no school or medical institution can provide services and related information for autistic children.
Beijing Xingyu Education Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as Xingyu) is the first non-governmental public welfare organization to provide services for autistic children and their families. Since 1993, more than 3,000 autistic children and their families have been provided with services. Xing Xingyu has also developed a parental training model.
Here, parents with autism from all over the country must attend a three-month course so that they can educate their children with ABA. Only this model is feasible in China, because such families can't get similar services after returning to their hometown, so these parents must take the responsibility of cultivating/educating their children themselves.
Xing Xingyu also conducted a training course for teenagers at 12- 16, and gradually formed a set of professional knowledge to provide services for adults with autism. Since 2005, Xingyu has provided capacity building and technical support to 60 domestic non-governmental autism service organizations, aiming at providing a platform for non-governmental organizations in the field of autism to communicate and share, and promoting the healthy development of the service industry for autistic children in China.
