Taizhou High-tech Zone is a science and technology industrial development zone, with seven functional parks, including Taizhou Pharmaceutical High-tech Industrial Park, Taizhou Economic Development Zone, Taizhou Export Processing Zone, Taizhou Higher Education Park, Taizhou Zhoushan River Block, Taizhou Data Industrial Park and Taizhou Binjiang Industrial Park, and four streets, namely Yexu Town and Sixiang Street, Mingzhu Street, Fenghuang Street and Jiang Yan Street.

Taizhou Pharmaceutical High-tech Zone consists of pilot research and development zone, pharmaceutical industrial zone and comprehensive supporting zone. The leading industries are pharmaceutical manufacturing, electromechanical and new material manufacturing. The biggest feature of national high-tech zone is innovation. Looking at the whole country, after more than ten years of construction and development, national high-tech zones have become a banner for all localities to rely on scientific and technological progress and innovation to promote economic and social development and take a new road to industrialization.
