What are the credit requirements for continuing education for nurses?
The overall requirement is "continuing education credits"

(1) The annual academic performance of all nurses in medical and health institutions at or above the county level shall not be less than 25 credits;

(2) the annual academic performance of nurses in township hospitals and community health service centers (stations) is not less than 20 credits;

(3) Senior nurses in provincial medical and health institutions and tertiary hospitals receive no less than 3 points of national continuing medical education credits every year.

2. Provincial medical and health institutions

(1) The annual academic performance of intermediate and above nurses is not less than 25 credits. Among them, class I credits are not less than 15 points; Class II credits shall not be less than 10 (self-study credits shall not exceed 3 points).

(2) The annual academic performance of junior professional nurses is not less than 25 credits. Among them, the class I credit is not less than 10; Class II credits shall not be less than 15 (self-study credits shall not exceed 3 points).

3 city (state) level medical and health institutions

(1) The annual academic performance of nurses with senior titles shall not be less than 25 credits. Among them, class I credits are not less than 15 points; Class II credits shall not be less than 10 (self-study credits shall not exceed 3 points).

(2) Junior high school nurses with professional titles have an annual academic record of not less than 25 credits. Among them, the class I credit is not less than 10; Class II credits shall not be less than 15 (self-study credits shall not exceed 3 points).

3. County medical and health institutions

(1) The annual academic performance of nurses with senior titles shall not be less than 25 credits. Among them, the class I credit is not less than 10; Class II credits shall not be less than 15 (self-study credits shall not exceed 3 points).

(2) Junior high school nurses with professional titles have an annual academic record of not less than 25 credits. Among them, class I credits are not less than 5 points; Class ii credits are not less than 20 points (self-study credits are not more than 3 points).

4. Township hospitals and community health service centers (stations)

All nurses are not less than 20 credits per year, and they are not required to obtain Class I credits, and the self-study credits are not more than 5 points.

5. Newly hired nurses shall, in principle, refer to the requirements for credits of primary titles before obtaining primary titles.

6. With the approval of the unit, those who participate in academic degree education and pass the annual academic performance within the prescribed length of study are deemed to have completed the annual credits.

7. Nurses who participate in medical education and training after graduation shall be deemed to have completed the credits of the year according to the annual assessment or graduation assessment and passed the examination at the training base.

8. With the consent of the unit, participating in health support for agriculture, counterpart support, aid to Xinjiang, aid to Tibet, foreign aid medical teams or studying in other units (including training abroad), and passing the examination for 3 consecutive months or more, it is deemed that the credits of the year have been completed; Those who have participated for less than 3 months will be awarded 6 credits every 1 month. There is no difference between grade one and grade two credits.

9. To participate in the annual long-distance continuing medical education, the credits obtained shall not exceed 10 credits (including Class I credits and Class II credits).

10. Class I and Class II credits cannot be substituted for each other.
