Nujiang fourteen-year compulsory education refers to
2 years before school, 9 years of compulsory education and 3 years of high school. Since the fall semester of 20 16, Nujiang has fully implemented 14 years of free education, covering 2 years of preschool, 9 years of compulsory education (6 years of primary school, 3 years of junior high school) and 3 years of senior high school. Because the compulsory education guarantee policy of "two exemptions and one subsidy" has been implemented in the compulsory education stage, and full coverage has been achieved, the essence of this 14 free education policy is to exempt kindergarten children (big class, middle class and rural preschool) who have been educated for two years before school, to exempt high school students from tuition and fees, textbook fees and accommodation fees, and to give living subsidies to preschool and high school students with financial difficulties.
