Xi 'an Youshi University, referred to as "West Petroleum" for short, is located in Xi, the ancient capital of the world famous historical city.
Xi Youshi University is the only multi-disciplinary general institution of higher learning in northwest China featuring petroleum and petrochemical industry. It is a university jointly established by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and the three major domestic oil companies, and was selected as a high-level university construction project in Shaanxi Province during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period.
By the end of 20 17, the two campuses of the school covered an area of 2 133 mu, and jointly cultivated 1 doctoral degree authorized disciplines, 14 master degree authorized first-class disciplines, 59 master degree authorized two disciplines, 5 master degree authorized categories and 15 professional degree authorized points.
