Brief Introduction of School of Journalism and Communication, Xinjiang University
The School of Journalism and Communication of Xinjiang University was formerly a journalism major founded by Xinjiang University 1983. The establishment of journalism has filled the gap that there is no journalism education in Xinjiang. After the establishment of the major, with the efforts of teachers and students of all ethnic groups, a large number of qualified journalists have been trained for the country, many of whom have held leading positions in the news, education and party and government departments. From 65438 to 0999, Xinjiang University established the journalism department on the basis of journalism. In 2000, it was merged into the College of Humanities, and the majors of radio and television journalism and advertising were added, and the teaching staff was further strengthened. In 2003, the School of Journalism and Communication was established on the basis of the Department of Journalism, with the first master's degree in journalism in the autonomous region, making a qualitative breakthrough in running a school.
