It is a model higher vocational college in Jilin Province. The College is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, a charming city in China.
College was founded in 1964, formerly known as "Jilin Nonferrous Metals Industry School" and later called "Jilin Secondary Technical School of China Gold Mining Company" (referred to as "Golden School"). 1970 changed its name to "Jilin Metallurgical Industry School" and was independently upgraded to higher vocational and technical college in 2002.
The college has two campuses, covering an area of 5 10 mu, with a total construction area of nearly 654,380+0.6 million square meters. Four majors, industrial robot technology, hotel management, mobile communication technology, welding technology and its automation, were approved by the Education Department of Jilin Province as pilot majors of modern apprenticeship. The major of metal mining technology was identified as a provincial major; Automation specialty group, electronic information specialty group and mobile communication technology specialty were identified as provincial brand specialty construction projects; Five professional groups, including automation group, mining engineering group, metallurgical technology group, electronic information group and foreign-related tourism group, were identified as provincial professional groups in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan.
