Haitian coffee bird-eating spider, alias Dominican Republic blue spider, belongs to the genus Phormictopus of Araneae. It is a classic high-end pet bird-catching spider with well-proportioned figure and bright colors, and the colors of adult male spiders are more gorgeous than those of female spiders. Huge size, foot spread can exceed 20cm. The young spider is gray-blue and looks very shiny in the light.
