Wang Xuejian, male, Han nationality,1born in March, 1955, is the dean of Marxist College of Lanzhou University, the director of Institute of Ideological and Political Education of Lanzhou University, a professor, a doctoral supervisor and a famous teacher in Gansu Province. 1977 was admitted to Lanzhou university, and stayed there to teach after graduation. 1986 graduated from Xi jiaotong university majoring in ideological and political education, 1993- 1995 worked as a visiting scholar at the university of Wisconsin.

The main research direction is the theory and practice of ideological and political education. Since 1997, he has presided over the completion of major teaching and scientific research projects such as the Ministry of Education 16, published 6 monographs and teaching materials such as New Principles of Political Science, Ideological and Moral Cultivation of College Students and Legal Basis, published more than 60 academic papers, and won many awards from the Ministry of Education and Gansu Province.
