Gansu Agricultural University is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the People's Government of Gansu Province. Its predecessor was/kloc-0, the National Veterinary College founded in Lanzhou in June 1946. 1950, renamed Northwest Veterinary College; 195 1 changed its name to northwest animal husbandry and veterinary college; 1958 merged with Gansu Agricultural College under construction to form Gansu Agricultural University.
