Following the cancellation of the list of 985 universities and 2 1 1 universities in 20 17, the Ministry of Education newly launched the list of "11plan", and a total of 88 universities in China were selected.

Mainly in Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and other provinces.

The "11Plan" aims to promote the construction of world-class universities in China, and has been jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of People's Republic of China (PRC) since 2006. 1 1 1 plans to aim at the forefront of the development of international disciplines, introduce and gather more than 100 outstanding talents from the dominant disciplines of the world's top 100 famous universities and research institutions, set up high-level research teams, and build about 100 world-class disciplines. This project is selected from universities directly under the central government, such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and belongs to the "21Project" and the "985 Project".
