In his view, in order to ensure the inheritance and transformation of human experience, school education must provide certain materials for students to learn knowledge, and to truly acquire real knowledge, it must be obtained through practical activities such as application, attempt and transformation. This is the famous "learning by doing". According to Dewey's thought, only through concrete "doing" can we achieve the goal of transforming individual behavior.
Introduction to experiential education
Experiential education is a brand-new form of training and education in the field of education at present. As the name implies, the "body" of "experience" is to put yourself in the other's shoes and experience it personally; "Examination" is to examine feelings, verify and check. Experience is practical, operational and unrepeatable, and it is a process full of individuality and creativity. It originated from Kurt Hann's Outward Bound School. Through field training, participants can improve their survival and interpersonal skills, and improve their personality and psychological quality.
Experiential education is based on the dual growth law of educational goals and minors' psychology and physiology, which allows minors to experience and feel in real life, form personal moral consciousness and ideological quality through reflective experience and experience internalization, and accumulate their own ideological and moral behavior through repeated experience.
